nhlfan 0
LIKE THE TITLE SAYS - OBV. BRAG POSTPlayed 1/2 NL at my local card room this past Friday night (plays big). Bought in for $300, game got rolling around 8. Getting some great cards, my reads were right on all night, making good plays, was sitting at $1200 by 12:30. Then the largest pot that I have ever been involved in came. It's folded to me in MP, have a pair of jacks. Raise it to $20 (standard), SB (maybe $250 behind him) calls and BB (had about $900 behind him) calls. Flop comes 4h7hJc. I check it, SB bets $60, BB raises $100 for $160 total to me. So there's $280 in the pot, which I'm perfectly happy taking down right there, so I push. SB instacalls and I'm like "great, I have to dodge a flush draw" and BB goes in the tank. After about 5 minutes he calls, I'm pretty sure he has an overpair. Turn 2c, River 10h. SB throws his hand in the muck, so I know he missed his draw, and BB shows me a pair of Q's. By far the biggest single pot I've ever won playing 1/2. Ended up cashing in for over 2800 that night.

Andr4w 0
I once saw a 7k pot get won on the 1/2 game at the venetian. The funniest thing was the guy wouldn't let the floor colour up his $5 chips so he was sat there with a fking mountain in front of him!

king_tanner 84
I frickin hate poker rooms around me.The indian casino has a 1/2 NL game with a max buy-in of $60!?!?!?!?!??!!?And all the other card rooms have a 3/100 spread limit game ($1/$/3 blinds with a max buy-in of $100)Where the hell are the California card rooms where you can buy in a 1/2 game for $300End rant.... and congrats

nhlfan 0
Thanks, mistyped , it was a 10 of clubs, my bad. Underground illegal cardrooms are great. There's a guy that will buy in for 2000 sometimes, in a 1-2 game, and if someone ends up with more chips than him, he buys more and trys to bully everyone. Not a bad player, just loose. Is this unethical?
fornicator1 0
Yea I think that is unethical I'm surprised they let you get away with that. Maybe I'm wrong someone correct me if so.Around here at the 1/2 NL max buy in is $200 and 2/5 max buy in is $500. Thats on a new game starting though, if there is a game thats been going on for a while they will let you buy in for 75% of the chip leader. At the 2/5 table on a Sunday morning one time I got there and the game had been going all night and one guy had probably 4-5k in red chips in front of him it was ridiculous he had to look around his stack to see the board. And while this is a brag post thread, heres mine. I got my first 1st place MTT win live today. Ive meade the $$live before but this was my first time TID. It was a $50 buyin but only 18 players. Took down $468 hopefully I will run like that Sunday in the 2 mill
