TwstdWrstr 10 Posted January 25, 2008 Share Posted January 25, 2008 LAS VEGAS — A three-alarm fire broke out today at the Monte Carlo hotel-casino, sending plumes of black smoke above the Las Vegas Strip.The fire, which was reported around 11 a.m., was spreading from the center section of the hotel across the roof.There were no immediate reports of injuries, but emergency responders were headed to the scene, according to an ambulance dispatcher.MGM Mirage, the casino's owner, had no immediate information about the blaze. walkabout 0 Posted January 25, 2008 Share Posted January 25, 2008 There were welders working on the roof at the time. The exterior is mostly styrofoam covered with stucco causing it toburn so quickly. I am guessing the only interior damage is from smoke. Link to post Share on other sites
