well, i did some research on a couple other forums, and someone emailed every major poker room to see their reaction to it.ultimate bet was the only one to actually buy the product and test it out, and they give a hilarious response.Dear Jon , Thanks for your email. The concerns over these types of products are vast for sure. Each and every instance must be treated with a great deal of care and concern. That being said, this one is a hoot. Now, we by nature are a curious bunch, so we pooled together the $60 and purchased it. There appears to be four areas he "guarantees" on. 1) The golden buddy. Here is a clip from his notes: "The first strategy I am going to discuss is a well kept secret from most online poker players. It is a little something that those of us in the know call collusion. " Genius. Now to our policies and procedures. We review gameplay daily. Random tables are selected and a team reviews the hand histories looking for patterns of collusion. We also utilize computerized fingerprinting. This allows us to see what accounts were accessed from a single computer. We also scrutinize withdrawals and review table play. And of course, any concerns from players are followed up on with a full review. 2) The Hot Bot. "This second cheating technique is going to absolutely blow you away. Most of you have probably never heard of this but there is actual software programs out there called poker bots that play online poker and win consistently!" This one has been out there for a while. We have never seen proof that these types of programs work, and thankfully they are easily detectable. The one good piece of advice in this gem is his note of " But be warned these poker bots are definitely against the rules of the online casinos and they can close your account and seize your bankroll if you are caught so proceed with caution." Yes, Mr. Chen we will. 3) The Force Fold. This one is my favorite. Use the force Luke. "The basic structure of the bind is to ask someone if they would like to take action 1 or action 2. The magic is that both action 1 and action 2 are the same thing only worded differently in order to give off the illusion of choice." “Would you like to fold or would you prefer to just give up?” The claim in this document is by offering a choice of the same thing, they will do as you ask. These are not the droids I am looking for. To convince your opponent to raise: “Raising now would really make you a poker genius” To convince them to fold: “Folding you (SIC) cards will make you a poker master” And the true mastermind technique 4) The Virtual Marked Card. This one is super easy. You download software from TightVNC and install it. Then, all you need to do is find a server that ALSO has this installed and where you ALSO know the IP address and ALSO know the server password. So as you can clearly see, this is a scam. I have made light of this particular case, but please be assured that as for real security and threats, we are not in the slightest way smiling. We take fraud very seriously. On top of the items mentioned above we take additional precautions. To name a few: We do not store credit card or bank account information on our servers. We do not have access to your password. Your password is encrypted upon account creation. We use the latest SSL technology when submitting any deposit requests. As for someone "cracking the code" of our RNG, it won't happen. The cards are not preset to be dealt in any manor. Our RNG uses a (not a technical term) continuous shuffle. If you take 10 seconds to react instead of 15, the next card dealt will be different. You can read more about our RNG at http://www.ultimatebet.com/about-ub/rng.html I hope I've put your mind at ease that this is nothing more than a scam. Please feel free to contact me with any further questions. Sincerely, Emma Customer Support Manager UltimateBet Member Servicesaseem

Doesn't this seem sketchy? In a B&M game or Home game once the deck is shuffled and the cards are deal the winning hand has already been determined (If you went to showdown). I'd freak out of all of the sudden a vegas dealer started shuffling the cards left in his/her hand after the first 2 were dealt.

but why would it freak you out? it doesnt really change anything. a random card was going to come off the top, and a random card is still going to come off the top. As long as the procedure is uniform and random, it shouldnt matter. This irked me too, but now im trying to figure out why.

For example if I have 66 and if I went all in after 10 seconds I may hit no 6 and if I had waited 20 seconds I may have got quad 6's ! I suppose to a certain extent this makes no difference as you would never know but just seems odd !

I agree for the most part. It really doesn't change anything since I have no knowledge of the card that is/was going to come off. However (and correct me if I am mistaken), once the deck is shuffled and in play the cards that come off are no long random. The Flop, Turn and River cards are set for that hand. Overall I think this has little to no effect since as a player the cards are still random because of the lack of information. Just seems sketchy.

Honestly smash there is none. I know it, but there is that ridged part of me that wouldn't feel right about it. Now that I think about it its kind of silly.

Overall I think this has little to no effect since as a player the cards are still random because of the lack of information. Just seems sketchy.I imagien the point of it was that it's less sketchy because if the next card is generated the instant before it appears on screen *no one* could know what it was in advance as opposed to if it was pre-generated there would be the possibility of (honestly) pattern mapping or packet stealing or otherwise getting information about what the card would be.You see?

Its funny, because in reading that part of UBs info, i immediately felt put off. My gut reaction was that this shouldnt be, it wasnt right. But the more i think about it, the more i realize how smart it is. Further, it changes NOTHING about how the cards fall.

Absolutely.I'm sure that is the exact reason online poker sites (UB anyway) use this method. It would make it near impossible for someone to hack the next card(s). I get your point. If anything this practice should make me MORE comfortable (not that I have a problem now) with online poker. I think the 2x4 up my @ss part of me just likes the thought that the suck out on the river I just got crushed with was predetermined in the shuffle not because the guy mouse click a 1/2 second to slow. Again I realize this is flawed thinking. I'm trying to correct that. :club:
