Why the Long Face?Daniel Negreanu has started this inaugural WSOPE Main Event strongly, his stack nearing the 30k mark with 29,900 in chips.Although he's running well, he doesn't seem to be his usual chirpy self, his gloomy chin resting on his open palm like Charlie Bucket having his golden ticket snatched away.Come on Danny boy, cheer up son. :-)46e6c2bd6af8b.jpg

Cool pictures. Took me a second to remember this is not taking place in the US and therefore the .com advertisements are allowed. So used to seeing .net shirts and hats in these things.

Good stuff. Scott, Looks like you have some competition for official FCP Rail Champ. Better hop on a plane out there asap.

This would suck:Mike Macdonald's 18th Birthday Ruined By Jamie Gold's Two OuterWhat did you do on your 18th birthday?? Well, American player 18 years old today, which means he can finally compete in his first live poker tournament. He forked over £10,000 and was recently moved to the featured TV table. He raised with Jacks pre-flop and Jamie Gold called. On a ragged flop, Gold pushed all in and Macdonald instantly called. Gold showed pocket threes and was way behind. The turn gave Gold a set when a three spiked. The river was no help for Macdonald and he headed to the rail. And you know what? The kid took the bad beat like a man. He smiled, shook Gold's hand, and shrugged his shoulders as he left the TV set.

Ahh, but what they failed to report is that he was spotted coming back to the table. And he didn't look too happy.texas.jpg

Where in London is the empire? I might stop by sometime this week after work. Free entrance? How does it work? I've only been to casino's in Holland, and I have no idea about dressing requirements and such. Any info is appreciated. Thanks

Empire Casino is in Leicester Square.. can't miss it if you walk up the main drag. Make sure you wear closed toed footwear. Had to go home and change, as I was in flip flops myself! Sucked, missed the "Shuffle up and Deal!" :(RyanP.S. Haven't checked out the poker room there yet other than the tournament tables. I'm going down there in a little bit while they're on dinner break to see what stakes are being played. Just got back from 15 days in Greece and am heading to Belgium Thursday en route to the rest of Europe for 22 more days.. so trying to save my pennies! Will let you know what stakes they're running and if I get in on any of the side action.

Shows how how much I pay attention, I must have been there a hundred times. I would stop by tonight, but going to pick up some weed, and go to sleep, Tuesdays are so much worst than Mondays IMO. I lived in Belgium for about 7 years, so I know it quite well if you need any advice on where to go, eat, visit etc, especially in Brussels. Did Greece stop burning yet?
