Fl Poker Law Changed - $100 Max Nl Allowed

Recommended Posts

why would I play 2/5 NL when 1/2 is there, especially considering its the same 100 max buy in.I won't need to generate action. I can almost guarantee at first, it will be a raise, flop, jam situation, until people realize that they are starting to lose real money. Before, with the 2/2 lhe, it too a while to lose a couple of hundred.

Just as I leave florida this happens. Although the games are gonna be rediculously annoying. This game is bingo with the small buy-in but it will be interesting to see how some of the different cardrooms get around the 100 max buy in, I suspect dealers and pits will just look the other way as players throw another hundred on the table. Honestly these games are going to be soft as soft can be but they will be a push fest.

It's a start and a move in a positive direction for poker in Florida. I don't think I would want full casinos, like Vegas and Atlantic City in FL, but at least it's better than before...Baby steps.

This sounds great for someone living here. I am tired of driving an hour and going out to the boat Sun Cruz at Canaveral. Has anyone heard if the Dog Track in Casselberry is going to start a card room? :club: This is sad but I am really happy about this.

Casselberry is on the outskirts of Orlando, correct? There's currently a rumor floating around that Sammy the Deuce is going go open up a room there sometime in 2008. He is the WSOP tournament director (third in command, almost always doing the TV final table announcing) that opened up the Sarasota track followed by Tampa Greyhound. I might transfer there once it gets operational if I can get a managerial spot, but thats pretty far away so I'm not overly concerned about it.

No limit cash game will be a timed rake game. Every 30 minutes will cost you $6
I just want to get this straight. The pots will never be raked, just every 30 minutes will cost us $6? That doesn't sound so bad seeing as how the pots are absolutely killed on a regular basis at the $1/2 Limit games.

Got a spy report that says that they are spreading 5-10 limit, 10-20 limit, 5-10 NLHE, and that they have a roped off section spreading 25-50 NL and 50-100 NL. The Hard Rock has evidently found a loop hole. The 2-5 NLHE games and 5-10 limit has a 3 hour waiting list.

I have no idea...but my dealer buddy told me to call him ahead of time so he can get me seated. it is crazy at any limit. he did tell me that they had a cool feature...which was ...name a game and limit and they create a table for you....then call you when it fills. Try that crap in Vegas....Only the Bellagio would ever do that ..and that was if I asked for 5-10 PLO.he says it's crazy out there...and it's sunday friggin night.

For those of you who want an inside scoop into what's going on in a room that's about to open, then here you go. I'm going to be employed at the Tampa Greyhound Track which has three competing card rooms surrounding it. We're going to be open year around and I can honestly say it's going to be the best card room of the bunch. Here are some of the things we're going to offer:3/6 limit hold'em as a staple game.6/12 limit hold'em as the biggest limit game.2-5 spread limit 7 card stud and stud h/l3/5 omaha hi/lo2/3 no limit hold'em with 100 min/max buyin. If you get to $50 chips you can add another 100 on at any time. The 6/12 and 2/3nl games will use yellow $3 chips (against our blue felts), the omaha game will have both white and red birds in play, and the stud game will be primarily whites along with the 3/6 game.Opening day for our card room is going to be Sunday July 1st. Starting at noon there will be a $120 multi-table tournament that will have $5,000 in starting chips and 30 minute blind levels. Try to find that anywhere in the state, I dare you.Single table tournaments will range from $40-$500 with structures directly related to the buyin. We have a 75/150 level that most places skip as well. All of this is good for the players. Our boss was a player for the longest time and he really knows how to treat you right. Our staff is also going to be the best in the entire state hands down and I'm very confident that every one of you that goes there will return. We're also going to have jackpots as many people have pointed out. Our Bad Beat Jackpot will start at $25,000 and we'll have several other promotions. No limit cash game will be a timed rake game. Every 30 minutes will cost you $6, if you guys don't like that I'm sorry. The dealers will certainly get more hands in at a timed rake game so no matter how tight you play, you gotta deal with it.We're also going to have several other amazing features such as lock boxes for our players. Several specifics on other things are still being worked out so I can't give too many more details, but if you don't know about this room yet you're really going to miss out. Let me know if you have any questions.
contact number for the card room?

The spy report is correct.Apparently, the rumor around the campfire is that some Miami Heat players were playing 50/100 NLHE with a total of over 300k on the table. And, apparently, somebody sweating the game saw Dwayne Wade call off $20,000 on the river (after an opponent fired 3 big bullets), with Ace high and lose. For the love of christ, someone get me in that game. And by the way, everyone, sell whatever you have, mortgage the house, get to Florida. I was playing 5/10 NL last night and won $8300 because its all SNG and Tourney players playing cash games. Guys pushing 3rd pair, gutters, A high on missed draws.....its sick...it almost made me think i was a good player. THen i realized my opponents were just that bad.

at the hard rock its no time charge. 10% max of $5. So sick. The room in Tampa has been full non-stop for 4 days, with 2 hour waits. They are making over $100k a day in the poker room alone.

and...it's over....Seminole Tribe does not want to screw up their petition for the slots they want..so they have suspended high/medium stakes poker and have just kept the 1-2 NL and 2-5 NL games going...
