  1. Banning myself from Party Poker in a moment of frustration two years ago. Darn. Well, that probably saved me some money. I've moved on to playing high-limit slots!!!
  2. I had to reply. I have a #11 with no tomatoes every time! Sweet.
  3. I believe poker winnings are just included in your gross income:Gross inclome includes the receipt of any financial benefit which is:Not a mere return of capital; Not accompanied by a contemporaneously acknowledged obligation to repay, and; Not excluded by a specific statutory provision in the tax code. The tax code defines "gross income" as:§ 61. Gross income defined. Except as otherwise provided in this subtitle, gross income means all income form whatever source derived, including (but not limited to) the following items:..."Income" has been defined by case law as:An “undeniable accessions
  4. I enjoyed the original post. I get out-drawn all the time on FullTilt 5-10 NLH. I just thought it was the nature of the beast. But apparently, there's a foolproof way to circumvent bad beats...by playing on Stars.
  5. Funny and thorough...except for the Asians, I guess.
  6. That's why I'm stuck with FullTilt...keeps my degenerate addiction pumping faster with Instacash rather than waiting an entire week.
  7. Didn't know chau's...thanks!
  8. I can't agree that poker isn't harming his family. And I think "balance" is a bit ambiguous term in this case. And, why be so stubborn? Play poker weekly with the guys. It's not his livelihood.Maybe the relationship with the wife is irreconcilable, and this is just the tipping point. But I can't fathom getting over a divorce over poker. My goodness. Call me a sellout, but c'mon.
  9. Quit screwing around on poker forums. Get a new hobby. Reconcile with your wife and think about your kids. If gambling is such a big issue, compromise or quit. Prioritize. What's more important? If you value micro-limits grinding more that your marriage, be my guest. But I think you need to reconsider punting the ball and giving up gambling for the sake of your marriage and your kids' livelihood. That said, I have no idea what your situation is, and a "gambling problem" may just be the tip of the iceberg. But if it is the critical issue, let your wife win, and quit. Who cares about po
  10. In my limited experience, no-limit jumps have absolutely killed me.I typically play 10-20 Limit and 2-4 NL.In the last week, I've lost out on all-ins when people have made there flush draws against my set and things like that. Honestly, I don't know if I have the stones to play No Limit. The swings can be just bankroll suicide. But I guess they make memories. Best of luck to all of you who have the nerves to play NL. In my opinion, going from 10-20 Limit to 30-60 Limit is much easier that any NL jump.
  11. Ya know, I've even checked out that online "Urban Dictionary" and it's still hard for me to use "QFT" in the proper context.
  12. It has been my experience that all of the "newbie" flaming has a direct correlation to post-counts. Whether or not that is warranted is another topic. Now, does anybody know another online ranking site? Thanks.
