  1. This is a great story. There are no doubt millions who are happy about the thought of the madman leaving. And I've said it before and I'll say it again...I hope this goes well and quickly. Worrying that this could be a horrible mistake is something I would gladly be wrong about.
  2. lol Democrats and facts. And lol short memories. And lol picking out little details to argue while ignoring the thing as a whole.btw Turkey says NATO has taken this over now.uh huh.
  3. They briefed Congress and had twice as many allies on board and ultimately went to war based on a solid coalition consensus of pretty much the entire world. Everyone was on board at the time, bad intel or not (which was only learned about later, and then the people who believed it pointed fingers backstab neener neener style for political gain even though they all drank the koolaid too at the time, but that is another topic for another day). This Lybia fiasco stinks to high heaven. Where is the "imminent threat to America" required for Obama to have taken such action?I am done here as this is
  4. I'd prefer Government authorized atomic anal probes that detonate whenever Washington thinks you are about to screw up.
  5. http://news.yahoo.com/s/time/20110323/wl_time/08599206091700This may seem like an over reaction on my part but I do not think so. Plus, the contradictions vs. things Obama said during his campaign are laughable. AND imagine if this was Bush or McCain doing this in the way it was done. There would be impeachment hearings already on the floor. This campaign, police action, whatever, seems to have no leadership or direction. What is the goal? How many other 'Hot Spots' are there in that area? 5? 10? Yemen, Syria, etc? Are we going to go into other places next? I just do not get this. Why did we pi
  6. Many prominent Democrats and Obama supporters are becoming very upset about this at the moment. I will go on record as saying I hope Obama prevails on this. It is to the better good of this country overall if this goes well.
  7. Not sure there are many similarities between the real/imagined reasons between the two wars really. Unless you think there are, in which case Obama is then no better or worse than Bush. But how does one lead....from the middle? That is a recipe for a long drawn out quagmire of a campaign and a losing strategy.I think we can all agree on the hope that this goes well.My take on this is Obama was indeed talked into this thing. He appears to be more and more like a puppet being pulled here and there, as most presidents are to some degree at times, BUT.... Who is pulling the strings? Who is influenc
  8. annnnnnnnnnnnnd the wheels start to come off.http://news.yahoo.com/s/yblog_exclusive/ob...or-libya-actionNo way this ends well for Obama/US/ foreign relations/etc. I am still utterly dumbfounded at all of this, how it went down, the apparent lack of planning, lack of discussion with senate/congress, etc.
  9. Oh, ...uh.....I'm 3 weeks away from my pay increase...or otherwise I would....ummm.....go........with.......ummmmmmyou.
  10. I am praying but have very little faith that this cluster fuck ends well or quickly. Deeply worried, especially if it eventually becomes mostly our fight (historically very likely) while the politicians tie the hands of the troops who need to do that fighting.sigh balls.
  11. I can't help but imagine a scenario similar to this:..."Mr. President...you are not being perceived well lately. You seem distracted with basketball, parties and golf and what not. Hell...you loaded up your plane with family members and powerful CEO's of corporations for a trip/vacation to Brazil while the whole world implodes around you. Your moronic PR folks decided that in the midst of all this you would appear in a clip that shows your apparent disregard by picking March madness brackets instead of smarter shots of say, you at 2 AM with your sleeves rolled up looking worried while gazing o
  12. How happy are the pro Obama/anti war (and already pissed off that we are still not yet out of Afghanistan/Iraq) folks regarding this development?Or is it OK now to engage in multi national supported military undertakings?
  13. I am very curious as to how this would be spun/covered/reacted to if a Republican President was in the White House.
  14. let your mind go wild...think of the craziest thing that you think a computer can do. Launch a space shuttle, track hurricanes, kick total ass at jeopardy, etc. Do you not think someone can't create a machine good enough to eek out a solid winning percentage in poker?puh leeeeeez. If a near fool proof one has not been created yet it is just a matter of time imo.Not saying you don't believe it is possible or whatever. I just think there are already more of them out there than people realize.
  15. that Global Friends map thing is awesome!!!
