  1. Players have the opportunity to make a significant amount of money to continue playing with.
  2. I want to promote a brand new, building website. It's a good opportunity for new and current players to add a significant amount of money to their bankroll.http://www.NYPokerSchool.com has launched and is looking to bankroll players for online play. The FAQ should answer most of the questions one may have.
  3. I moved all in with 2-7 offsuit. GAMBLE!!!!!!!!!
  4. He was responding to the crooked home game post, but started a new thread by mistake. One point for the OP
  5. The only situation where I'd ever slowplay a big pair was in heads up, and that's only if you know your opponent well enough to predict a raise. Otherwise, raise with it. As bdc said, I'd rather win a small pot with that pair than lose a large one. AA and KK are the two hardest hands to get away from, especially if the flop is low. People tend to overplay these hands. So raise at the outset, in my opinion. If everyone folds, you didn't lose. Just wait for next time, maybe they'll have cards to play with.
  6. I'm a big fan of super system 2, actually. I think Jennifer Harman's limit section is stellar.
  7. My lady can't stand poker. The only solace she gets is... new shoes from the fattened bank account. Damn women.
  8. I sat across the table from Marcel Luske in the EPT event at London's Victoria Casino.I knocked Noah Boeken out of a single table satellite on stars, and knocked Tiffany Williamson (15th place WSOP) out of the final table of a tournament at London's Gutshot Cardroom.
  9. Yes, and you'll never, EVER have a losing session.
  10. I can snort anything. I made $30 snorting wasabi. I also drank the water from a hookah for $15. I guess I just have a blatant disregard for my health.
  11. Sure, it'll work sometimes because you're usually a huge favorite PF, raising or not. But if you get 6 people just calling around the table, the chance your aces will hold up unimproved are not as good as before. If you give someone with 8 4 a chance to see the flop, and the flop comes Q 8 4, you're not getting away from your AA. This is the hardest hand to fold, and too many people can't do it. Limping with aces is just a recipe for disaster in a game with a full table.
  12. You probably just make a commission. But you can say you work for CardPlayer?
  13. I played pretty extensively in London's Victoria Casino, and I had an Irish guy flip out at me after I took away a $700ish pot from him in PL HE. I had 9d 4d on the BB and he limped with KK. We were 7 handed at the time. 4 other people called, and I checked. The flop came 9 5 Q with 2 diamonds. I called a pot sized bet, and we were 3 handed. The turn brought another 9. I called another pot sized bet, and was heads up with the irish guy. The river brought a 4, and he bet out again. We had a raising war until I finally had all of my chips in the pot. He turns over pocket 5's for 5's full, and I
  14. I'm interested in a possible partnership. For more information about being staked, please e-mail me at:nypokerschool@gmail.com
  15. I didn't exactly tilt off my chips. After the downswing, it wasn't a "hey, let's get in every pot and try to make my money back." I played like I always played, but I got outdrawn and beaten more than usual. It wouldn't be gambling if the better hand always won the pot.
  16. I know about the variance in shorthanded. But I'm posting it just to share, not for sympathy. I like to read about how other people fare in poker, personally. I'm not $2000 in the hole. I had been playing with profits, and I just lost that.
  17. I've lurked here for awhile but never posted. I guess I got kicked in the ass by variance today, if you can call it that. I know everyone has bad beat stories, but maybe some of you can take consolation in these.I've been playing poker for my primary income for around 2 months now. I had a bit put away, and then I went broke after 2 consecutive sessions. After redepositing, I was sitting pretty with a few grand once again. I've gone broke once more, and I really don't feel like redepositing into another online pokerroom. Granted, I probably should have left when I lost a certain amount, but th
  18. I want to interject here as the other player in question. The outcome was the following, and I happen to agree with Aseem here.I hit middle pair and the flush draw with my A 8 of hearts. In my opinion, he made a horrid call, but a good call. The board ended up coming K 10 on the turn and river for the running full house, giving him the win and essentially knocking me out.If the situation was flipped, I personally would have laid his hand down after I pushed over his re-raise. I pushed because of the min-raise, and I would not have pushed if he raised me harder. I thought for sure I could induce
