  1. That had to be one amazing string of cards!
  2. I wear a Tshirt that says "Playing for Grandma's medecine" on it and has a big picture of my grand mother's face.
  3. I like to sit in the middle at one of the ends of the table so I can watch all the action go on in front of me. It makes it easier on me when I'm not swinging my head from side to side to see what everyone is doing. I like one of the "corners" of the table, so I can sit back and take everything in.
  4. google search best poker player in the world + you3,020,000 hits. They're finally recognizing you. Congratulations.
  5. Is it worse for you to be all in AND...A.) get riveredB.) get decimated by a flopex.let's say you have AAsomeone goes all in and you call - he flips over QJowhat would hurt moreTHIS FLOP - A K T or THIS - A K x x T I think there is a distinct feeling to go with each of these situations. Getting rivered to me is this abrupt shot of anger, and getting destroyed by a flop just gives me an empty, punched-in-the-stomach, wind-knocked-out-of-you feeling. What do you guys and girls hate more? Getting rivered or getting crushed by somebody's dream flop?
  6. yeah me and a friend talked it over and decided if we somehow got a seat in the wsop, we'd just sell it for like 9k or something.
  7. There are a lot of internet poker players <21, myself included. I'm curious what would happen if, for argument's sake, I won a WSOP seat through PS. Of course I couldn't play in the event, so would they just give it to second place? It seems like an issue that is going to have to be dealt with at some point, because I know of a TON of underage players, many of which are very, very good. Food for thought I guess. - rw marks
  8. What is the best rule to use for calculating fold equity post-flop.For argument's sake, let's say I'm dealt Ah Kh and there is a decent amount of pre-flop action Flop is Jh 5h 8d Do I use TPTK as the minimum hand for a call here (AA, KK, QQ, JJ, AJ)?Or should I include the possibility of a small set (AA, KK, QQ, JJ, AJ, 88, 55)?Let's say I'm playing heads up.I'm thus far unexperienced with the concept of fold equity, but am now begining to understand it's importance and trying to implenment it into my game. -rw marks
  9. In NL, I don't see a problem with seeing a lot of flops. The times you hit with some creative starting hands can more than pay for the times you don't. Let me give you an example.I was playing a little NL, 10 players. I was seeing about 35-40 percent of flops, higher than usual for me, which is between 20 and 30 percent. In middle position, I was dealt a 9d Td. Normally, in middle pos this is a fold hand in my book. But I was feeling cute that day and decided to limp with it.Luckily, there were no raises pre-flop and I was getting about 6 to 1 on my money to see a cheap flop.Flop came 9
  10. I didn't think he pushed all in, but instead took a stab at the pot and was raised. He knew he was in bad shape but was committed and had to call the rest of his stack away on the odds of drawing out.
  11. NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!David Williams just went out from the button with his last 200k an 8 5 off. Matt Keikoan found A J in the big blind. David Williams lasted longer than Greg Raymer in 25th, but neither of them got close to their last mutal paydays of $7.5 million at last year's WSOP.NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. David Williams doubles up two hands in a rowFirst Williams pushed in for 33k with Q6 and was called by Hasan Habib with KT. Williams made a queen-high straight. The next hand Williams pushed in for 94k with pocket dueces and was called by Reza Payvar with QT. Williams made a set of dueces on the turn. Williams is up to 220k.The press is temporarily barred from the floor while Shana does a shoot.DAVID WILLIAMS WILL WIN THIS EVENT
  13. you meant www.pokerwire.com
  14. i said it two days ago, i said it yesterday and i'll say it todayDAVID WILLIAMS WILL WIN THIS EVENT
  15. I'm confused as to why a guy with bottom set would be willing to put so much money in with 3 hearts on the board and so much raising. This "rule of 7" seems to apply to both players in an unspoken agreement to stop the betting at 7 in order to give the winner the action he wants, while putting a cap on the money the loser will lose. Instead of having a few bet-raise-call scenarios on every street, they just get it all done after the flop. I'm stil confused by it a little bit, but I think I got the basic idea.
  16. Not only do I agree with blaze, but I also encourage players who enjoy playing the Krablar to make online names like KrablarK3 or KrabbyKrablar or Krab2005lar.
  17. There are reasonable arguments for pushing and flat-calling in Kurt's situation. Clearly there is not going to be a concensus on the issue. So let's all just give it a rest and talk about day 4 which should be starting VERY SOON!- rw marks
  18. Chin up, once in a while you'll be the one with AA and you'll go up against KK. And KK has to hold up at some point. Come on, you can't always be up against AA! KK is still a great hand, don't start laying it down for no reason. oh, and if you play on pokerstars and "rw marks" ever re raises your KK all in, and you feel like he has AA, call, you'll probably draw out because everyone does. Good luck and keep your head up.
  19. Did you decide you wanted to lose money as soon as you saw the 84? I mean, it would be funny if you flopped the straight or a set or something, but it's just confusing as is.
  20. greatFOR THE RECORDyou edited your post - originally the rogermarks was the 10-9 off.keeping on naming hands and i'll keep on being better at cards than you
  21. come on, you guys have been friends since the coast guard.hand 2 i think he flipped over AQ
  22. if you're playing against someone who is being over aggressive, your best bet is to call more often. you don't have to out-bully the guy to out-play him. Flipping over winning hands on him a couple times should tighten him up.
