Hey guys, I played my biggest live tournament (in terms of prize pool) to date this last weekend and, as has been the general rule lately, I messed up. I'll post two key hands here that sealed my fate.I would greatly appreciate any comments on my play and suggestions on how I can improve.The Tournament:10000 Starting Chips, 20 players.Hand 1: Blinds are 100-200 with a 25 ante. I'm just under average with around 9500. I'm on the button and the other guys in the hand are MP1 and BB, 9-handed table. So far BB has been tight and MP1 has raised and won the blinds twice, but it's still very early on

I was the chip leader for a while.Was in a pot where I could become the chip leader again with 15 left but got rivered by a flush....I was a little bitter after that since I've been getting those bad beats alot this last month.Sorry if I acted a tad badly after I got knocked out, in 15th place.The tourney structure was good and it was alot of fun througout, except for the suck outs ofcourse. :)I might play in a few more events.

I'll play in a few of these events.The last tournaments for me before I take a long break from poker and anything related to it.

Agreed.I'm perplexed by his bet after the flop. Most players would probably check-raise that flop with a set or even a hand as low as A-medium kicker imo.To me the bet indicates either a flush draw, Ace with a low kicker (say 8 or lower) or a pair lower than aces. All hands bet to represent a pair of aces or to semi-bluff.As swift said he could easily still have a worse hand on the turn, like A-rag not two spades, or you let him get away cheaply with a flush draw after the flop which now hit on the turn.And with the structure of the tournament a raise wouldn't achieve anything unless is a push
