  1. I think that your range of his hand is optimistic, at best. He is not actually "going all-in", he is wielding his stack, knowing that the players behind him will not want to get involved. While he may be jamming with a few weaker hands, you have probably around 50% equity against his range. This makes a call correct in temrs of chip EV, but not necessarily tournament EV. Here is the thing: Even if you fold, you will be left with 10xBB in 3rd/6. What are the payouts? This is important info to volunteer my opinion.Fell
  2. You sure? You know that FTP rearranges the downcards at showdown in Stud from highest to lowest, which makes for some interesting looking hands. Unless the King was exposed, I would be willing to lay odds that he caught it on 7th.Fell
  3. Courtesy of a friend.Playing 1/2 NL, he limps with Tc7c, gets raised to $6, calls the $4, flop T7x and he ends up stacking the opponent who held KK.Fish: "i could of sworn i raised preflop"Fell
  4. Depends on the ante and limits, but 5 BB/100 is definitely sustainable against poor players.Fell
  5. I think that's a pretty easy call myself. Yes, you will have to play any top pair type hands carefully, but you do have position on the raiser, and should be able to find out quickly if your hand is good.Fell
  6. The pot was raised by the Hero and re-raised preflop (by the SB), and finally limp-capped by UTG. This inflates the pot to a huge level right away, and we should be doing everything in our power to maximize our chances of winning it.Everyone seems to be fixated on the BB in this hand, but we should not forget about the LP player who cold called 2 bets on the flop. This is probably a draw, or even just top pair, but it is fair to try to wait until the turn to put pressure on him. When the relatively safe turn card hits, I think we should raise it to maximize our chances of winning the pot, if
  7. There are tons of reasons to justify the call. Once you are in the money in a standard payout S&G, your focus should be playing for 1st. The reason for this is because, of the 100% of the prize pool, 60% is already accounted for (everyone has earned 20% of it so far). Of the remainder, 1st place wins 3 times more than 2nd place. You can almost treat is as a new tourney, with payouts of $30, $10, $0.I may have pushed all-in preflop against the raiser (knowing that he does not need a big hand to raise here), but a call is ok too.On the flop, you elected to bet half the pot. Again, all-i
  8. The 7 low badugi beats the 9 low badugi.Fell
  9. Depends a lot on what the others are showing. If there are one or two players whose 4th street cards may match with their starting hands (2 flushes, 2 straights, caught Ace, then I would double bet it. Only against really unscary boards would I bother with the single bet.Fell
  10. I would gladly accept, sir :)Any chance of this at all Daniel?Heh.Fell
  11. Fulltilt has HORSE tournaments often, and they are going to be adding a mixed game as a part of ring games spread all the time.Where did you hear this?Fell
  12. You want the 7 because then you are drawing to the nuts (albeit a 3 card draw), thus the 65 is bad (also because of the straights). 76 draws are very weak for reasons explained above too. None of these draws are playable normally, but as a blind defense, it may be ok to tkae one draw, if you play well after the draw.If you want to read about 2-7, Daniel's chapter in S/S 2 is a good introduction.Fell
