If you are looking for a "math-ish" decision, here is my best crack. You say his range is exactly 55, QJ, KQ, and AQ.55 - 3 combinationsQJ - 8 combinationsKQ - 6 combinationsAQ - 8 combinations. That's a total of 25 combinations, only 6 of which beat you. So if you are confident in your range, and you don't have any more information to narrow it, it's a pretty easy 3-bet IMO. Hope that helps.

Two things. First, I agree with everyone else, fold this pre-flop. Second is for Jeff. You came in to the MICRO limit poker forum and realized he was only talking about $0.50, then say who cares? Might want to think about that one.

Button has only been at the table for 6 hands, no real info on him.CO is 52.38/0/0.78/84. Given those stats, seems like a very easy fold. However, about 6 hands previous he bet/3-bet after calling 3 cold pre-flop, then led the turn and river after being capped on the flop. He turned over 54s on a 357A3 board with no flush possibility or flush draw for him. Up until then he seemed like a normal passive player.Given that information, can you fold these A's, and if so where? I was pretty sure I was beat by the river, but my fold to river bet is crazy high right now, and I think I might be fighting

Looking back, I think I fold that flop pretty often too. I think this was a little bit of over-aggressiveness trying to make up for lost pots elsewhere. I guess I got lucky that UTG didn't really have a hand this time.Anybody have any more comments on the river? Assume the rest of the hand is played as is.

Zach,This is a question I have been asking myself frequently lately. Since moving up to 1/2 in mid-April, I am running at about -0.5 BB/100 over 8000 or so hands. I am running at +0.7 BB/100 in the 4000 hands since I got PT. Overall I have been down close to 100 BB and up around 50. While that sounds like a pretty small range, my graph would probably look pretty similar to yours. (On a side note, is that graph available in PT? I haven't seen it.)What I have been trying to do is simply to review my sessions when I have a big losing session. This will serve two purposes. First, it will allow you

Was pretty unsure about how I played this hand, raised the flop for information. Bet the turn looking for a cheap SD. Should I value bet this river?UTG is a fish, a little erratic at times, 33.3/0/0.8/75BB only sat down about 5 hands ago. Has played every hand, likes suited cards, cold calls often (since he's been there anyways).PokerStars 1/2 Hold'em (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)Preflop: Hero is Button with 8, 8. 1st, I 3 bet this river every time at 1/2, wouldn't imagine it would be much different at 2/4. 2nd, I have two questions to try to clarify the hand:1) What hand did you put him on that you are afraid of? AQ is the only thing I can think, and he would have to be playing that really, really passive.2) Don't you think a lot of low limit donks make this raise with a Q and/or a lower flush more than often enough to make the 3-bet correct?Hope that helps a little.

Thanks for the clarification. My thoughts when checking the turn was that he probably had a 9 or a mid pocket pair, with the gutshot hitting in the back of my mind. I had 6 outs against a 9 or a mid pocket pair and I was willing to pay one on the river against a gutshot if I improve.

I am using PAHUD while playing, I didn't state that before.I guess the point of what I was asking is this. I don't really pick out which hands I'm going to post until after I review my session, so I don't have the stats I was using at the time of the hand then. So do you guys try to note hands and stats as you are playing in case you want to post them later?

Two things:1) Should I post all 6-max hands in the SH forum?2) I'm honestly not sure if you are sarcastic or not with the turn check comment. I'd like to hear your opinion if I could. Thanks.Edit: Seems like you answered the 1st question in my other thread.

Appreciate the reply Bud, I see where you are coming from (although I would probably say x < 8), but I really can't see folding an A from the button in an unopened pot at 6 Max. I'm pretty sure raising an A from the button in an unopened 6 Max pot is pretty standard. My problem is that my post-flop play with these hands isn't quite good enough to justify the raise yet. However, unless the general consensus is that this is a pre-flop fold, I plan to learn how to play these hands through experience and advice. So hopefully some people with a better idea of how to play these hands than me will

Thanks for the reply BuffDan. Looking back at the hand after reading your reply I had to really think about why I C/R the turn. I think sometimes I play hands like this with blinders on. I convince myself that the opponent has two high cards and play the hand too aggressively. If I'm reading your reply correctly, you are saying that if you call pre-flop your line is C/C all the way down? Anyone else have any comments on the best line here, or is this good?

I reviewed my session in reverse order, so this was actually the first hand I had played. No previous hands against villian. Thought about leading the flop with flush draw against 3 opponents. Villian had only sat down 3 hands ago. Probably a bad call with no read, but I just couldn't lay it down. Again, I have a problem knowing when to give up on an A without feeling like I'm being runover.PokerStars 1/2 Hold'em (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)Preflop: Hero is Button with A, 6. 2 folds, Hero raises, 1 fold, BB calls.Flop: (4.50 SB) 9, K, K(2 players)BB checks, Hero bets, BB calls.Turn: (3.25 BB) Q(2 players)BB checks, Hero checks.River: (3.25 BB) Q(2 players)BB bets, Hero calls.Final Pot: 5.25 BB

I have been posting here sparingly for a little over a year, but I haven't posted many hands in Strat. I am currently going through my first extended downswing, so my plan is to review my hands at the end of each session and post any hands that I feel I misplayed or where I was unsure of the correct play. After grinding my way up from $0.02/$0.04 LHE to $0.50/$1 I switched from full ring to 6 max. I moved up to $1/2 6 max when I got to $600 (probably a bit early), but I plan on battling it out until I fall to at least $400. Over my first 7000 hands, I have been down as much as 85 BB and up as m
