  1. Did you read mine? It's one sentence.
  2. The way you described the villain, I think think it's entirely possible that we're better than a coinflip.
  3. Calling here puts us out of position with a hand that we hope makes TPTK in a multiway pot, with substantial money yet to play. It's not a particularly profitable situation even if we hit.
  4. Keep in mind that A K and A Q are only 2 combinations total, while each of the pocket pairs can appear as 6 different combinations.
  5. I feel strongly that preflop should be 3-bet or folded. As played, I could see calling or raising. We're going to have show down a hand that beats the all-in villain to win the pot. Raising is bluffing at a dry side-pot. But, we might be cleaning up some outs (e.g., if the villain folds A A and one-pair beats the all-in villain).
  6. Suppose that we have no fear of ruin, but our opponent is risk averse. The option to run it twice removes some of that risk and therefore makes our opponent more willing to call in a marginal situation. And in that case, we should semi-bluff less.
  7. The kid doesn't come out of the game as the pitcher. After a kid pitcher would have walked a batter, the batter's coach comes in with the count intact and pitches up to 3 more pitches. The batter is out on the third strike or after the third pitch. He never walks. The kid pitcher returns to pitch to the next batter. This year is straight-up kids pitch for Conner. The team is 9 and 10 year-olds.I'm going to really work now.
  8. If the RNG is for shit, knowing how it works doesn't mean that it can be exploited. Quite the opposite. If the RNG depends on the users not knowing the secret, then it will fail when the secret is discovered.
  9. I think this is a fold. And your argument sounds backwards to me. I'd want to isolate against a player with a crappy hand. Does this TAG fold way too much after the flop?
  10. Maybe everybody went sane while I've been working this last year, but in a live $1/$2 game $12 would be a standard opener without limpers in my experience. I'm thinking $25.
  11. That's weird. I'd raise big preflop. You already look like an action junky by posting UTG. Take an advantage of it.
  12. Remember people. It's pro. Went pro.
  13. Nothing to do with black underwear?
  14. My interest is piqued. What are we talking about?
  15. Was posting this question really easier than just putting in five minutes and stopping the microwave when the water starts to boil?
  16. What do you think he might have here? If he has a set, why is lying there like a brown banana peel at the bottom of a waste basket on the flop? If he has A X , I think his turn raise is truly awful. (Not that some people wouldn't. I just don't like the small raise there that doesn't get much value but does re-open the betting.)
  17. Some FCP things started to agitate me, so I took a break.
  18. Again, it also reduces your interest rate. On a 100K loan, that extra 1/4 percent over 15 years means $2,355. It's entirely possible that the flexibility is worth for you, but it's not exactly the same money. I agree with that last sentiment completely. I bought a modest house on a 15-year loan, which is another way to achieve that same thing.
  19. Renting is certainly better in some situations. There are overhead costs to buying and selling houses that people want to avoid. When their family size changes, they need a different size house. For this reason, many of my peers bought a house for the maximum size they anticipated ever needing. That means that in the interim, they've been paying maintenance, utilities, taxes, and interest on living space they don't need. They'd be far better off renting a one-bedroom or studio apartment, putting the money they would have paid in principle in the bank, and then buying the larger house when t
