  1. Why didn't you cap 7th street? Why did you raise 3rd? You might have gotten two more callers.edit: saw you said that you were too exicited and just hit call
  2. I'm with the idea of copying 2 + 2 and doing a digest every week of the best hands posted that week.
  3. oh, that makes sense. good though I make the drive from Columbia SC to Tenn. all the time, now I have somewhere to stop on the trip.
  4. Last month was pokerstars, this month Ultimatebet. What will be next month's bad beat site?
  5. Like the screenshot button?Pen & Paper?I tried writing the door cards down for a while. As it turned out, once I wrote them down I remembered them and rarely had to consult notes. You can remember 4 tables at the same time?
  6. I'm surprised noone has developed a program which can keep track of dead cards, making it easier to multi-table. That might devolp bad habits when going to live games though.
  7. you don't play to many online MTTs do you?and if you do where do you play?Agreed.Like the time some moron kept doing it and I woke up to KK in the BB. He flips AJo and caught the Ace. I eventually busted him. Justice. Just wanted to share that. It is a frequent occurence. If I have a good hand, I'll call. I play those things to win. A minor cash is ony 4 dollars profit anyway. So I go for it with anything bigger thana medium pair or AQ and above. Perfect way to set yourself up for later. If the player is habitual that is.I wasn't saying that noone does that, just not that everyo
  8. Ultimate bet. I see people go all-in on blind steals but I don't see very many tourneys where the only options are to go all-in or fold. What site are you playing? And no I play maybe one or two a week because I prefer cash games. I've 1 at UB and one at Pokerrom and made a few final tables, still never seen a situatuon where everyone is going all in or folding every hand.
  9. Ive never seen a point in a tourney where everyone either just folds or goes all-in. That is what people with shortstacks do, but people with average stacks usually try to get the maximum value out of their hands.
  10. So attempting to track my last 10,000 hands for the first time, after about 7000 was up an astounding 9 BB/100. Since then of course the invariable downswing. Just venting but it sucks losing 70 BB in 2 days.
  11. One time I made a final table on an on-line MTT. It was like 2:30 in the morning. This cute girl called me to ask if I wanted to come have a few drinks at her house. I declined the booty call.
  12. If you believe in God I guess, but I don't so no.
  13. If I had began posting at the begining of this thread, I might have enough posts by now to make me an established member. Oh well
  14. Have you ever thought that you need an extreme amount of luck to win a tournament, especially on-line where the blind levels are 12-20 min. The tourneys Ive done well in I got extremely lucky at some points, like being shortstacked and going all in with A7, getting called by AK, rivering a 7. It happens. Get over it. Learn to play cards better. Play more cash games. Get Pokertracker. Dont think of a few hands as represenative of a large sample. The list could go on forever.
  15. This has got to be a joke poster, the only posts I've seen are that On-line poker is rigged, and now Low-Limit is unbeatable.
  16. So let me review what the arguments why online poker is "rigged"1. To keep the bad players playing and contributing to the rake. If the bad players lose all the time they will quit. Be sure to tell the people at Foxwoods, their cardroom will be closing soon when the bad players quit.2. Their RNG is not random and helps these bad players hit their one outers on the river. So either one of two things happen, they have a computer system so exact that it sees a bad player make bad decisions and then lets them hit their cards. So from now on when I have a longshot draw that I would normally
  17. yep thanks jackand grinder i really don't care i doubt theyd belive i folded AQ there so stop going on about itIt doesn't mater if they believe you or don't believe you, you shouldn't be discussing a hand while it's in play. Especially since I wouldn't want other people to know how weak/tight (take your pick) you were playing.I've got someone banned from Party for talking about their hand, I would do it to you too . So in the future I would say don't talk about your hand.
  18. i agree with that you also get a number of NL players that have no idea what they are doing. I have only plyaed NL and have no idea where to begin with limitSmall Stakes Hold'em is a good place to begin.I'm beginning to feel like a broken record...Can we get a sticky just about SSHE.
  19. Alright so now your argument is that simply because the pros can afford lose their money and go to the cash games, that makes it the right play? I guess there is really nothing that can be said to make you realize that you are wrong. BTW deciding to go out out of the money instead of cashing for 3x your buy-in is -EV
  20. Alright dude, you are trying to use one specific hand as a rule this play. There have been times in a tourney that someone has pushed on the turn, and I called with an Ace high. Normally I will not do this, 99% of the time, however a few times I have because I thought the guy didn't have anything so in that particular circumstance it was the winning play. That doesn't mean that it should be done evertime. Pot odds has nothing to do with it. Getting only 1.7:1 early in a torurney, does not constitute even taking a counflip.
  21. This is making my brain numb. Oh well there is nothing better than being at a table with people who think they understand pot odds.
  22. If you read the forum you should know "Small Stakes Hold'em". It's the book Jesus would have written if he had taught the poor to gamble.
