  1. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong. I said POTENTIAL epiphany. I am drinking!mc
  2. Had this potential epiphany while sitting on the toilet after watching PAD cash game.I'm loving the new Matrix, mostly becuase I'm now a cheapskate and pretty much only play the $1 and $2 SNG. The Matrix gives me the ability to play four games for the price of one and make a little of my money back without having to place top 3 in one SNG.So, does this help my variance, much like running it twice, three, etc?mc
  3. I call Huck Seed a friend from my time spent in Vegas as a pro.Could call him up on his cell right now.Yes, brag post.Game over.mc
  4. Ok, thank you for all the information. It has been most helpful. I collect a chip from every poker room I play at so it's sort of a dorky hobby for me. I leave on Thursday and have come up with a list of all the casinos in the area that I will try to play at:Dueces WildCache CreekBlack SheepLucky DerbyPhoenix LoungeMurphy's CasinoLake Bowl Rancho's ClubLimeleightJackson RancheriaCapitol Casino. The following I'm still trying to find info on. Can't seem to find a phone number or online information:Gene's Sierra ClubParagonDon Juan CasinoSun Down CardroomIf anyone has info on those four, let

  9. I apprecaite all the help on this. So far I have Belterra, Grand Vic in Rising Sun and Argosy in Lawrenceburg.Anymore anyone knows about? Card clubs or anything? I'm heading out there Labor Day weekend.Like I said, I collect a chip from every poker room I play at. Have them framed up. 12. He is 100% for sure the tournament director for the Gold Strike Casino in Tunica, MS. I was there a few weeks ago and met him during some tournaments I played in.Nice guy.mc
  13. Ok, I take back my advice if it is your mom who wants you to write it. You haven't had any journies yet. I can't believe I'm the 'old guy' who is telling the 'youngster' that you are just too young, but I am.Seriously, your mom?mc
  14. Write the book. It can't hurt and it can be very cathartic. I hope you have the experience to fill the book though. I wrote a book on my experience of changing from a 10 year career in track and field to a professional poker player in Vegas. It was fun to write and helped with some of the emotional issues that arrise from playing this game as a profession. If you need/want any help/suggestions, go to my website at www.mcpoker.us and email me.Good luck.mc
  15. Sometimes it feels like both!!!mcAnd I will sheepishly admit that I, of course, was/am my own editor.Damn.
  16. For those who were/are interested, my book is ready for purchase. Hot off the presses. Today is the first day of publication. If you are interested, here it is:http://www.lulu.com/content/317063mc
  17. Why is there such a B&M versus online flavor to all of this? I understand the OP was bout it, but the whole topic has turned into online versus B&M players.Much like I felt the Corporation versus Andy Beal match gave the pros only a slight percentage point or two advantage, I think the B&M pros would only possibly have a slight percentage point advantage versus online. So far we have seen at least one online guy (Alaie) do VERY well. Later in the season you will see Yukon do well in the game too. Not an online guy but a tournament guy, the Grinder did very well too. Hell we've e
  18. Thank you. I have it done, I'm awaiting a few readers for possible promo quotes, but essentially it is done. Thank you for the interest.mc
  19. I will be in the Gulfport/Biloxi area tomorrow night and wanted to check out the new poker rooms. I have heard there are three opened. Does anyone know which three?Thank you in advance.Mike Cunninghamwww.pokerworldrecord.blogspot.com
  20. Harry is right about the future of Brad. I played several times with Brad when I was in Vegas. Played some 5/10 pot limit mixed games with him. Brad is going to be big time when he gets tv time. Now he's getting it. Brad is a hell of a player and even a funnier guy.I've said it before and I'll say it again, people will know who Brad is in the future. For future reference, Matt Overstreet is another talented young player that when he gets tv time, will be a big name.Mike Cunninghamwww.pokerworldrecord.blogspot.com
  21. Now, I'm not going to say I'm Huck's best friend or that I know him better than anyone else out there, but I did get to play and talk to Huck for quite sometime while I was in Vegas. It helped that he is a fan of track and field and that is what I used to coach.Huck is an extremely intimidating guy. Being as tall as he is, he towers over people even in the poker chairs. And Lord help you if he thinks you are week. He will push and push and push and make you make the mistake.I bought all the WSOP MEs on DVD a year or two ago and noticed that the year Huck won wasn't included. I later found o
  22. GWGCGW,I am sorry you feel that way. I am thankful that my blog was able to make some affect on someone. That means a lot to me.While the original blog is down, but still on my database, I have decided to do two things.1) Start the blog for the world record, as it is poker related and a lot of people have experience with playing long hours and therefore, might be interested in it.2) This was going to be the announcement for later on, but I'll go ahead and spill the beans. I am writing an autobiography to be published sometime around the world record attempt later this summer. The world recor
  23. That is exactly it. There are certain rules you must follow to set the offical GWR record. The record is 72 by a guy who played 1-5 seven card stud up in Foxwoods. For those worried if I'll go bust, it's not like I'm going to be playing 5/10 NL and higher. That would be silly for this record. Not that I haven't done silly stuff in the past. And the number one question....why? Eh, for the hell of it. I don't have anything else to do as I look to get back into coaching. For those who have responsded, "who cares?", obviously you don't. So don't read the blog. Yes it is that simple.mcwww.worl
  24. For those who are interested, I have started a blog detailing my journey to set the world record for consecutive hours of played poker. The address is at www.pokerworldrecord.blogspot.comAlong with the world record I will be making another big announcement later this summer when the record will be attemted. I think this other announcement might be enjoyed by all. No, the record is not another attempt at playing poker full-time, even though I might. The announcement has to do with something tangible.Hope all is well.mcwww.pokerworldrecord.com
