When you are looking to sit down at a table, which ones are you generally looking for? High pot averages? Large percentages seeing the flop? What do you like to look for as far as making the most profit
-
The players at 0.5/1 are actually very skilled IMO. Just make sure you try to stay in position when raising
-
Eh, it is close, but no one with a flush is checking that turn in my opinion, but a fold is not bad, but a call or raise pre-flop is nice too

I fold, but that is me

Yeah, his line here is calling with KQ or KT, i think he would have raised the turn or flop with K 10, but the river wreaks of a massive hand, tough luck
-
You can fold pre-flop, other than that it is about as standard as it gets
-
Sorry anti, i thought you were in early position making the play. What i was saying is if you are on the button or in the cutoff trying to take it down and get heads up, then the play can work.
-
Hmmm. I am not un-happy with it...personally this play in a limit game does not work, but in this pot limit game it can work. I would like you to be in better position though for this play.

It is very very very possible villian ha 7 9 x x here, possibly 7 9 with hearts, but that pot is huge...call

learn to take condecending attitudes as a joke, or come to the omaha forum where poking fun of everyone is welcome

You have to lead and raise this flop once you hit. If you check, you need to check raise here and get bets in. I bet all the way, on the river, it is close, but there is enough money in there to warrant a call

Yeah, that is one of those head scratchers that makes you think, wow were they a genius for putting me on that draw, or just a moron

Where Does The Profit Come From?
bassplayer45459 replied to antistuff's topic in Other Poker Cash Games
Not sure either, because i keep getting it in good and get callers with hands like Q 5 5 9 and the make top two against my set, and nut flush draw, then win on a backdoor flush. But i find solice in typing "idiot" or "moron" in the chat window as a i reload -
My guess is asian honey had the last jack and made two pair on the river. Also possible going for a flush and made a smaller two pair on the way there.

I dont know, i think he may have aces here...
-
First hand, with a call behind you, no need to risk building a big pot early on, i just call with the AK. On the second hand, we are either shoving or folding here.

More standard than a complimentary warning to your girlfriend during extended fore play
-
good fold

Stop lurking bud, and yes the 6 is ridiuclous, bet more...and this thread never dies

My thought process is similar. If he has 56 x x in his hand, he has to raise this flop, it is too vulnerable of him not to raise you on the flop. The only hand i do not think you raise with on this flop is 5 6 Ac 7 c of something goofy like that. Another hand would be an over pair or top two, or middle too, but again he has to raise you on that flop. I think i call the turn bet but personally i dump the river, but if i was playing i probably still call and yell afterwards. I analyze better than i play.

Ok so i have read alot of the 30 big blind rule for no limit, but what about limit poker with antes such as stud. I have read about how soft the games are on stars and i am getting ready to get back into the game after a long hiatus. I am going to start small and try to build from the low limits 0.04/0.08. Oviously the banroll for these limits does not need to be huge, but any advice on the required roll to move up at each limit would be appreciated. Thanks all

I had him pegged at 23% to win, but my math is very simple 11 outs * 2 + 2 = 24
