  1. I fold. J9 is a very likely hand in that spot. But so is JJ, QQ, TT, 88.
  2. Thanks for the replies. Summary: bet the river.
  3. I am in the BB with AKo. MP raises to 3x BB. I just call. Flop: KKJ rainbow. I check. Player behind me makes a 2/3 pot bet. I call.Turn: 5I check. He checks. River: KI CHECK. He checks. He shows Q9. Then I draw criticism from him for not betting my quads for value. In my mind, I almost gain more value by checking in this situation. If he has a Jack, he obviously bets. Pocket Queens - he bets. Aces - he bets. A 5 - he bets. He might even bet with Ace high. What is the best to do in this situation? I feel that checking is the best. But on the other hand, I could have made the ult
  4. $200 is fine for a 3/6 full kill game. And like the previous poster said, 3/6 Omaha/8 players are the worst. They are usually the old men who just want to chit chat and not lose that much money.
  5. Thanks for everyone who railed. Appreciate that. To PillyPill I mentioned that I only had to suckout 1 time in those 2 tournaments to cash in that. True - but that one time did it for me. Shorter stack pushed all in UTG and I called with AsKd. He showed AcKc. Two spades on the flop, then two more after that. 6/348 in the 300 FTP, then 28/394 two days later boosted my spirits. Thanks everyone again!
  6. The hand before I went all in I had A7. I folded that. That could have done it for me. But still, no way I am laying down AQ with 5.5 BB.
  7. So this donkey just made the money in the 22K Guarantee!!!. Rail me - ukwildcat09. This tourney was my first "real one." The biggest tourney I have played was a $5 one. This is also a freeroll for me. I was bust without any cash online or for live games. I used 300FTP to enter a tourney where the top 6 get $75 tokens. Won the token and used it in this.
  8. What was the buy-in for it? I can't find a 26k.
  9. But do you think that tv makes him look worse than he is? A lot of pros, especially DN, say they are friends with him. How could you be friends with someone who always acts like he supposedly does? To me, I think that he is made to look worse on tv.
  10. I was thinking racial profiling. But then again...
  11. As much as he is hated by everyone, he still has 10 bracelets. No one can beat that as of now.
  12. You meant 10% up to $5. I have never played their but a $3 rake no matter what really isn't that bad. Most post flop pots are over $30. Look - you raise to $10 and get two callers. Their is $30 right there. I'm assuming that this casino isn't anything out of the ordinary so the 1/2 level of play will be terrible. Lots of limpers and expect large preflop raises. (8BB is normal) Just play tight and you should be fine.
  13. Hard to explain. I guess it's more of a personal thing. A vulnerable hand on that board.
  14. I would, but I don't have any money on there right now.
  15. That was disgusting to watch. King on the flop...ran out spades.
  16. I'll rail for a little while I play my 300 FTP freeroll.
  17. I couldn't figure out, FlopTurnRiver, so I was editing.
  18. The past year I have been blaming my poor fun on the felt due to other players. This hand made me realize that I suck at poker. My game has huge gaps in it. I'm not blaming my losses on bad beats from now on. The recent posts on this forum have made me realize that my losses are MY FAULT. Here is the hand that really opened my eyes:I couldn't get FTR to work, sorry.I'm in the small blind with AA.Opponent in MP with QT of hearts. PF: I make a 3BB raise. He calls.Pot: 840Flop: Ah, 9h, 4hI make it 500. He calls.Pot: 1840Turn: 10dI go all in for 1550. He calls and shows the pain. River: 8h
  19. My girlfriend liks playing blackjack a little too much. I often have to tell her to stop at the casino. She doesn't play poker though. I have been working on that for a while. Next step is to get her to play poker with me and the guys. Then the casino.
