  1. I had been invited to a private live $300 125 person tournament. Everything is progressing as I had planned, suddenly I get Q/Q three times in a row, then A/A three times in a row. I have seen other players experience this, I have never even come close... best part I win all six hands successively, each were sizable pots that propelled me into 2 place in chip count.I have to admit; this was really something to experience.
  2. What I look at is the number of bets it takes to get to showdown, in your case you said the maximum number of raises was 4, the total out lay is $24 to win $168?Very unlikely a player has 7-8 on flop, maybe a set but still unlikely per your description; my guess would be a gut-shot or 2 over-cards on the 10 - I would be praying for a Ace or a King to hit. Extremely unlikely but not impossible a player caught the low end or even bottom set. You have the top 2, this scenario mandates a re-raise "you're attempting to get heads-up with the raiser "only 2 raises left" for a total of $12. What are t
  3. Another way to look at it... maybe the other players at the table considered you the weak player, knew they could run over you with a $6 raise, did you give that any consideration? If that is the case may be you may want to consider changing up your play and table presence.Something to consider & only to consider:If you play scared you will never reach the goal you have set for yourself...
  4. People have been offering what they may have done in similar situation... its your money you decide how to play it, there is wrong or right play, its your money, its your decision.
  5. It was only a matter of time before someone offered something totally useless.Seriously... from time to time throw out all that odds crap.... get in there and gamble. If you place to much emphasis on odds you'll never achieve any part of your potential.
  6. Then the most it can cost you is $18 more... if you go heads up the most it can cost you is $24.
  7. A very high percentage of short stacked players have already conceded in their mind they have lost... then they rationalize "WTF" with all-in.... we have all been there, done that, got the t-shirt.
  8. No collusion...You may want to consider re-raising to $18 on the river, their only out is to make you believe they caught, if you re-raise you give the impression you caught and you're not afraid of what is on the board. Did you count the other players chips at any time during the betting? Three handed what is the casinos policy on the number of raises? If its 5 the most it can cost you is $26 more.I believe poker is a lot like chess, you have to know your moves ahead of time. Good luck,
  9. I smell something just not about right....rookie2619: Do you like mens behinds?
  10. I never meant this to be a brag post, never even thought of if that way more like "the cards just plain su ck some nights". I was really just hoping for a few words of encouragement "I just feel like plain old S*** for giving up."
  11. Last night while playing in a live 220 person $225 tournament I build my stack thorough solid aggressive play, I'm never the chip leader but have enough chips to make a dent into the leader.Final table I go from 5th to 2nd in chips knocking off a player here and there, now its heads up. For the next 15 hands I see one face card "J", what I do see is 2/3, 3,8, 2/4, 9/3, 9/4 on the 15th hand I get K/3 wow a face card, the flop comes 6-7-8, turn 9... the next 10 hands are same no face cards. By now I am totally frustrated, did I forget to mention my opponent has hit every hand.I still have an siz
  12. This was sometime ago I did see a player at UB at my table get AA fourteen times in a row, another time I saw a player get AA 10 times in a row.
  13. Interesting analogy... this type of feature would be detrimental to online gambling people do not want to be made to feel they are being singled out and may consider it an form of anti-social behavior or cheating. One other thing to consider ryaovac: "you may end up on other player's list."
  14. I feel your pain.... but its a 1+1 people will call anything..... its only $2It sucks... its the truth.... chalk it up to learning...someday you will do the same to some else.

  18. Billtravis: Good story... humans make mistakes regardless of how good they may be, I have had mistakes made by dealers that have cost me dearly on the other side when dealing I have made the same mistakes.I would not give two seconds thought into what DN thinks... he's just another player in a long list of players.
  19. Everyone of your posts are based on sarcasm, you're either insulting a persons play or their post without any provocation. Insulting the way a person plays poker is not strategy your sarcasm is to make sure the poster understands you're some kind poker or maybe NASA genesis. This thread is perfect example it has nothing to do with poker yet you chose sarcasm rather than not posting.
  20. Yea right keep telling yourself that.... or maybe its called having no real life...
