  1. I saw exactly what you described happen not long ago. The dealer pushed the pot to the wrong player, the player who had the winning hand called for the room manager. The manager froze all action until they had a chance to review the tape. The Casino took the chips from the player and awarded them correctly. This player now wants to complain the card room manager tells the person the Nevada Gaming Control Board agents are in the casino he will ask them to review their written complaint. The guy drops it.BTW: you did the right thing even if you could have used the money... PS: There is a GOD, on
  2. There are some on this site that would refer to your logical explanation as "skill". I wish I would have never heard the terminology "suck out" every time I lose I want say it and every time another player loses they say "suck out".
  3. Losing a good friend is tough.
  4. If you cannot go to Vegas I would play at one of the local casinos.
  5. I observed the following then watched a argument afterward.Player 1 has A-10 is all-in and is called by two other players.Flop: K-10 -9Player two checks, player three bets, player two gets mad about betting into a dry pot.Turn APlayer three turns over Q-JRiver: 10Player two continued to complain about betting into a dry pot, player three whined about the suck out they just took.My personal opinion: There is no such thing as a dry pot this is my reasoning: Why should I allow other player(s) still in to build on their hand, hit and then be rewarded with chips that could be used against me later.
  6. What do you consider a suck out to be?What is your opinion on dry pots? 1. no such thing as a dry pot2. never bet into a dry pot
  7. I read your blog you are a micro limit player... it's called luck, every gambler needs it.
  8. Zach6668: I apologies to you for beating this topic up. This a good article by now I am sure you have read it but in case you missed it here it is.http://www.fullcontactpoker.com/poker-foru...howtopic=100775
  9. The only real skill in poker is knowing when and being able to bet out the player{s} with the winning hand. Anyone can play "AA". If you think luck has nothing to do with it gambling is your game.Being up a million dollars or down should have been said being up a few hundred or down a few hundred, since you have never had a million dollars your pyridine is exaggerated and incorrect. Additionally based on your statements if you are consistently playing your "A" game you would always win and never lose. The best poker players in the world lose or have multiple losing sessions, their advantage ov
  10. I believe we may all be somewhat on the same page, just saying it different.First, there is NO WAY to consistently play your "A" game, professional poker players, Drivers, Athletics can't do it and openly admit it. My statements are based on my personal experience. In the long run of a session I know at some point I am going to get beat or make a mistake. Once I make the amount for my session I prefer to leave "I can always come back". According to many of you the seat does not play any role in your session as long as you are playing your "A" game... Okay, I agree with you. When I am seated at
  11. Not to be aggressive Ballon Guy I really think you and the others need to read why I posted that sentence.
  12. It all a matter of personal experience when setting daily goals. I understand that some think you have to ride winning session for as long as possible to maximize, its a valid point. My point is unless you have ten's of years of experience how do you know when session is over? You get a feeling? All your chips are gone? A tremor in force? If I get down to $1500 I am out of here? I can win it back! As soon as I get back to $XX-XX I am out of here!We have never been able to figure out if its the player or the seat that is hot. Some days you will see a hot player, as soon as s/he leaves the seat
  13. Wish you good luck...Quotes to remember:AA will lose to KK as many times as it will win.Have other interests.Learn to take bad beats... you will dish out as many as you take.Set daily goals / limits, when reached stop playing.People sitting at the table are not your friends.I would rather own several $200 to $400 suits because that is who I am, versus pretending to be something or someone that I am not who owns one $2000 suit.
  14. That last picture of Duke made my willie shrink...
  15. Well said... I wouldn't quit poker because of this I would use it as a learning experience to better my play.

  17. It appears there may be a change coming. Online play may become legalized.WSOP Tournament Director ResignsBob Daily Is Moving Into Online GamingBob Daily, an employee of Harrah’s for 11 years who served as the tournament director for the World Series of Poker in 2005 and 2006 and was part of the planning team for the 2007 WSOP, is moving on. He resigned from Harrah’s and accepted a position with on the board of DG Holdings to lead the company’s online gaming platform division.“I have greatly enjoyed my years with Harrah’s, and especially the World Series of Poker,” said Daily. “I have every co
  18. I would have an written agreement upfront before you play. IF you win he/they may believe you did this as a favor {expecting nothing in return} and are entitle to nothing. Lifetime quot to remember: Money has a strange effect on people, it makes them do things they normally would not do.
  19. When a player hits runner, runner then wants to give everyone at the table a lesson in poker.Dealers who think you should tip more than one dollar per hand.Dealers who are not paying attention and screw up the hand.Players that will raise on "Ace" anything then get mad when they lose.Players who can not figure out odd/outs or barely understand the game. What I do Like:People who tell jokes at the table.Friendly people. My Ipod.
  20. I just lit my lighter, raised my arm... the flame is up
  21. Harvard PondersJust What It TakesTo Excel at PokerA little luck, a large bankroll to overcome the bad beats you will have, nerves of steel, other than that "in the right seat at the the right time".
  22. I'm not attempting to be rude to anyone however you have to take a look what gambling really is, the type of person it creates, what it does to people.
  23. You really don't believe what you type do you? Navie... when did online gambling become licensed in the USA? Just in case you didn't know all forms of gamblers outside of the once/twice a year are degenerates, I fail to understand how anyone can defend gamblers as anything other than degenerates. You put to much trust in people...wherever money is involved people will do things they normally would never even consider. When online gambling can be regulated inside the USA I am all for it, in its current form I am against online gambling.
