  1. DN has backed poker and it's players for quite a while and stayed consistent with his integrity. When you form an opinion (this is what columnists do) and voice that opinion in respect to your own beliefs and facts compiled those that feel CHALLENGED can always respond and state their case to the provider of the opinion. HOWEVER, when that response comes in a juvenile venacular and or un-professional manner it no longer becomes credible for the origin source of the opinion to respond. In other words, Raymer could have approached Daniel and said "DN i'd like to give you the reason for my views"
  2. ParadisePoker - Free Million FreerollRaised 1200 pre-flop on button with K9cThere was already 3 limpers and we were at 200/400 blindsEveryone including blinds call - 6 people inFlop comes 10 J Q c (flopped straight flush)Best part of this was EVERYONE went all-inBeat pkt 10's, J's, A hi flush and i can't remember the rest.Needless to say i coasted the rest of the tourney to win a seat.It was around a 70,000 chip pot.Everyone was afraid of me after that.My best flop ever with so much action.
  3. For me the PPT is EXACTLY what i've been looking for in a show.Freeroll smeeroll, there's a prize pook and that's real money.I've always wanted to see how my play in mid-stages of a tourney stacks against the pro's. IMO this is a real dangerous show for the pro's giving people like us who play and post on boards (die hard net players) a chance to see the most critical stages in tourney.
  4. Forgive my lack of knowledge, but what's a rakebal ?
  5. I like PartyPoker and lately i've been putting in some time here at fcp. Give it a shot.
  6. Best solution i found for myself was to go play in a live game. it seriously makes a difference. You don't see as many hands and you focus much better on the game.BC
  7. I know exactly what you mean. I always pay off a flush draw on the river. If they hung in there w/me i don't know why i don't believe them. When it's so obvious they hit.
  8. Just do what i did. I turned my wife into a poker player. DONE.
  9. I believe DN has a blog that covers this. He dealt w/the same situation w/his mother. It's somewhere on the bottom of the blog archive page.
  10. Burton puts on a cool show. Funny how his picture that's promoted all over the strip is from around 30 years ago. I always tripped off that. You'll enjoy it. He's good.
  11. Sorry can't help you there. But if you find a hook up to that show i'd love to take my wife.
  12. This Saturday's fight is in LA at Home Depot center. No Vegas this weekend.
  13. I own a pretty big boxing website. That's how i hooked up w/Bruce back in '97. I did a deal w/him and his brother Michael. You know the "LET'S GET READY TO RUMMMMMBLLLE" guy. Bruce and I have been tight ever since. Sam used to manage a fighter named Lamon Brewster and we did chats and lots of video coverage of Lamon over the years. My site is MaxBoxing.comBC
  14. I don't think i was hussled at all. But i did get humbled. I've played w/them since and held my own fine. It's just an experience story.I turned a str8 and he flopped a str8. I didn't stop to think of what he had. I didn't take the time and paid for it.
  15. They bought in for same, but they probably re-buy for up to about $2500.To show up w/only $500 is a total tard move.
  16. So one of my best friends is a guy named Bruce Buffer. He's the announcer for UFC and pretty much my coach in poker. Bruce has a min $500 buy-in cash game about once a month at his pad. I'd been dying to play in it and finally mustard up the sack to go and show these guys what trapping is all about. So i show up w/ONLY $500 (yes i'm a tard) and sit down. To my left is Sam Simon (he created the Simpsons) and moving on leftward is a solid elderly fellow (forgot his name but he was Lee Majors stunt double on the Bionic Man) then there was Mark (Financial guy to these guys) moving on was Bruce
  17. I understand about the bad run theory, however IMO if something keeps happening over and over and i keep getting the same result then IT HAS TO BE MY GAME. Or i have to CHANGE/TWEAK my game to adjust. Smaller pots w/top pair seemed to be the most reasonable/quick fix suggestion. I'm going to try and implement that today and see if i get a better result.I'll still make my bet on the flop but i'm really gonna concentrate more on what i think they could have and if they play back at me or over me well.......I'm also going to play my really strong hands STRONGER. I do think i've subconciously bee
  18. Had to do it. BE PROUD YOU DID AWESOME and i learned by watching you play. There's only one position that doesn't hurt, but you should feel great about your final table play and persistence. BC
  19. I thought it was a good call. When he raised i figured KJ or something along those lines and when it came out low i thought you had a good shot. You had the chips to try and bust him.
  20. Beatiful Call w/A7 and got the elimination.Over half a million in chips. KEEP IT UP!
  21. YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSFlopped a great set of J's
