holiday inn express is right on the opposite side of the highway, with a BK in the parking lot. They run a shuttle over to the casino. Why not use valet? its free, and you can walk right in the front door. Not sure what you're getting at with the parking ramp. its all the same walk. take the elevator all the way down and make teh trip through teh construction tunnel. If you're interested (and thinking about hitting seneca allegany), you also have the option of spending the night in ellicottville. only 10 minutes north. great little ski town - really quiet (i.e. enjoyable) in the summe

seneca allegany is going to be your shortest drive, probably only a few hours from pitt. just a basic casino. no hotel or anything. only restaurant is a buffet. brand new temporary facility though. really nice place.Seneca NF will be about another hour and 45 mins north from there. Amazing 4 star facility. full hotel/spa/restaurants/night club...everything. if you just want to play poker, seneca allegany will more than suffice. if you want to play poker, have a nice dinner and and spend the night, seneca niagara falls is definitely the way to go. can't comment on the canadian casinos

Akwesasne Mohawk is a lot closer - although no where near as nice as TS (no hotel or anything). Just across the river from cornwall - probably only about an hour and 20 min. full casino, including poker.

Its ridonkulously easy - you'd kick yourself once you saw how its done. I found it on the net once - can't find it now. Wish my webcam was hooked up - i'd post a little movie on putfile or something. they do them on the weekends (actually maybe its every day - I usually only play on friday). like 4 of them. $500 freeroll - top 10 positions pay. first is like $95 or something, 4-10th pays $40 I think?capped at 11,000 entries. People go crazy, field was down to about 3,000 at first break......

just finished 347th in a 11,000 person prty freeroll. Too bad you have to make final table to see any $$ but its my own little victory of sorts...I applied what I've learned here so far and just flamed everyone incessantly whenever they spoke seriously though - early on people do play like complete idiots but banking on that only gets you so far.......something must be sinking in from hanging around here.

I could be wrong (or I guess "they" could be wrong), but I've read that the overall table odds are actually affected by the overall table play. the best table odds for BJ assumes that everyone plays mathmatically perfect blackjack. staying when you shoudl hit, or maknig dumb plays alters everyone's hands becuase it changes the cards that you would otherwise receive. this somehow affects the overall table odds and scews them more in favor of the house.I've never looked deeper into it, but it is also poor BJ etiquette to totally donk off your hand. gotta agree here. I basically play by the book black jack with a modification of this betting system. you certainly can't beat the house and there are other variables (like the donk sitting next to you that has to stay on 12 against the dealer's king....) but like scanner is saying, all you are trying to do is maximize profit when you do catch a streak. When it works, it defintely works. I'll typically only drop $50 at a nickle table when I play. Best sessions I've had have been $500 and $325 respectively - fairly good runs for lackjack. it actually got life as a typo in a online MP game - warcraft I think? bascially, when someone was killed it would say "player 1 has been owned by player 2" or some other catchy phradse. But, becuase of teh typo, it said "pwned".

One time I was in the men's room at Studio 54 at teh MGM. jsut got done taking a leak and as I'm washing my hands I hear some excited conversation pipe up behind me. you have to report income even if you don't repatriate the funds. also - they way you're supposed to do it is to keep track of your wins and losses. if you're not a "pro" (which pretty much no one except for DN is for IRS purposes....) arguably, this pretty much means every session, but for people who sit down and play online every night, that's fairly impractical. at the end of the day, IRS is going to want to see that you basically reported the amount you "won" overall. figure out a really way to keep good records. like someone said, so long as you're reoprting it, there isn't much the I
