it depends on a brazillion things:type of tournament you're talking about: how many runners, what game, structure, etc.the typical style of play in that tournament--are you going to do well playing simply solid poker or do you have to open up to get action and make moves (related to the above)?your ROIyour ITM rateassuming that you're talking about the ginormous field, low buyin ones on stars and ftp, i wouldn't play higher than 26s, and even then somewhat sparingly. personally, i use a 200bi rule and i don't even play tournaments seriously.

does anyone have any direct experience with satellite internet? there's a chance that i'll be moving to a place without broadband in august (northern canada), and basically i need to know whether satellite internet is adequate for full time pokering, since i won't be able to get a visa for other gainful employment up there for a while, at least.i'm fairly sure that the answer is "no, you're ****ed," but i thought i'd ask anyway.
