  1. Casinos offer it for free, they got stacks of them sitting around.
  2. cardplyer.com, you can read all issues online. espn.com has a poker section with plenty of Phil Gordon articles. Any pro who has a website will have a section on strategy, etc.
  3. When I read this it made me think of pancake's brother, the waffle. Then I started thinking about Roscoe's Chicken & Waffles. Anyone here in Los Angeles knows what I'm talkin about. Fried chicken and waffles, the strangest yet the most tasty combo of food. Addictive chemicals in the waffle batter.
  4. I'm not sure if "solid" describes Doyle's play (in No Limit) that well. I would say it is EXTREMELY aggressive. Balls to the wall. And believe you me, Doyle has some ginormous balls. They're huge.I know, I was spewed from them years ago.
  5. I think I was reading about some upcoming tourneys here in L.A. (The Bike maybe) where the entry fees will include a tip for the dealers. So they don't get stiffed from a tight-wad winner.
  6. What I find funnier is that this kid was an accounting major. Good with numbers which would assume he had some idea of how to be in control if his BR. What a tool.
  7. bookstore, miles from the strip in Vegas....i'm there!
  8. If anyone lives in SoCal, L.A. area, pick-up today's LA Weekly. PH is the cover and they talk to him at his fantasy Camp. Some other little Q&As in ther etoo with Mike Sexton.
  9. Both hole cards for both players must play. If the OP had pocket AAs against the pocket KK with that board (minus one the As), jackpot hand. I have sat at many tables and never got the jackpot because both cards didn't play. But I've seen it a few times at other tables. Most cardrooms require a jackpot hand to be Aces full of 10s or better beaten by a bigger full or quads, royal flush.
  10. Wait. I just tried signing up an account for the poker room and it won't allow due to the United States not being a choice for region.
  11. I think I read somewhere that Hachem had a friend who qualified for a ME seat on Pokerstars, so he just bought a seat to go play with him. But played on that site regularly.
  12. Commerce tops all other poker rooms in LA, IMO. Large spread of limits and games. More than enough tables.
  13. apply for a work visa. since poker is your "work" that will allow you to stay here for a lengthy amount of time while you apply for your green card or grant your citizenship.
  14. Bellagio - but the entire state of NV seems to be on the list to get a seatMirage - nice roomMGMAlso heard Caesars is opening a room, not sure when.
