AndrewBlack 0 Posted September 21, 2005 Share Posted September 21, 2005 I think the results could be pretty interesting especially when I hear people say they play there best when they're concentrating just on winning money, because I have a totally different mindset. When I'm playing my best I'm trying to play better than everyone at my table. I'm not reallly concentrating on my play much at all "its on autopilot" persay. This of course dosen't mean I'm making too many fancy plays or anything, I'm just trying to play better than everyone else. In games like golf where your mental game is just as important as your fundamentals, what I just said would be TOTALLY WRONG. Your never supposed to compare yourself to others play ( and if you think about it golf and poker are similar in alot of ways ie both games are mental intensive, and your playing for JUST yourself)Just wanna see how people feel about this.letttterrrrr riiiiip. MAN if I can double this up I can go play 10-20 no problem....here you are obviously trying to WIN MONEY, not worried about any other factors. Ill catch myself doing this sometimes. Just trying to pull big pots, not worried about anything else, and I think its pretty unhealthy (for my well being and BR.)I think the questions pretty self explanatory really = /Don't read to much into it. case ace 0 Posted September 21, 2005 Share Posted September 21, 2005 this question makes no sensemy answer is all 3i have a feeling this will be one of the nicer responseswhen i started playing i always thought i had to "knock it out of the park" up against certain people/ games and i would make to many stupid fancy plays. kinda like when i used to hit the ball to hard when i first learned to play pool. then I realized i was out playing myself. your "a" game is your "a" game. play the player and beat them--this shoudln't change. If I really want to play great I turn Poker Tracker off, strip naked, slam my penis in a drawer two or three times, and then start playing(this does not work well at the local casino though).Orville Link to post Share on other sites
