The house I’m looking at later this week will need a kitchen remodel, a bathroom remodel, possible a new garage or an additional stall, possible new deck, concrete removed, 3 seasons porch torn down, basement re-finish, might build a Murphy bed in the guest room, a dog door installed, and lots of paint. It’s a keeper. Edit: because it sounds like I’m looking at a shithole. SuitedAces21 2,722 Posted April 29, 2018 Share Posted April 29, 2018 i feel a unexplainable urge to have my own home. something about being a real man, having something of my own. this is a good step. just got back from the casino. the 1/2 game was popping tonight. ended up only 190, but it could have been so much more. missed a big draw (flush and straight) in a 1000 pot and lost a couple of QQ vs AK races. but all in all i can't complain. For the last year, I've been watching places in a very nice area of town. The layout I wanted was initially $400k or so, and they've since crept up to $475k. It might not be like that elsewhere in town in that price bracket, but that's a pretty solid example of the shit I'm seeing here, and I just have no desire to participate. It's not like this city is a great place to live--very similar climate to KC, not nearly as populous, and fewer amenities. Link to post Share on other sites

It's not like this city is a great place to live--very similar climate to KC, not nearly as populous, and fewer amenities. oh for sure. the prices i see are beyond what i think appropriate. to get the quality of house i want i'm looking at 285 minimum, and as much as i want to be a man and own a home, a single person with no prospects of wife or family does not need a 300k home. i'm probably going to look hard for a condo/townhome in the 150 to 175 range that has been newly remodeled. that's the happy medium, but i still cringe at sharing a wall with some lowbrow. DO NOT CLICK BELOW , IT CONTAINS MOVIE SPOILERS i think you're right, the ending was good despite the fact it's obvious anyone who "turned to dust" will be back soon enough. though i did get a little choked up when spidey was dying. that was good acting by that kid and by RDJ.
