I Just Got A New Car!

Recommended Posts

My cousin has lemon'ed these cars thus far: 2000 Escalade, 2002 BMW 745i (his mom's car) and a 2003 Infiniti G35.His check from Nissan for the G35 was $15,000+! So, he drove a nice car for 2 years, made his normal payments and got back $15,000.
Blue book value for a private sale of the 2003 G35 is over $17,000 if it's in good condition.So...yeah...your cousin is a genius!

Speedz, you disappoint me....First off, he only had the G35 for 2 years before he lemoned it. I'm assuming his payment was around $600 and he probably put a couple of grand down. So, his total out of pocket was let say $17,000 (which includes oil changes and maintenance) to drive the car for 2 years. If after 3 years his residual is $17,000 (which it was probably closer to $20,000) and he sold the car for $17,000 then he just lost all of his payments, down payment and expenses.By lemoning it, he drove the car for 2 years and got back almost all of his money. Get it?

Why does it not surprise me that this type of scumf*ck behavior is coming from California? After all, it's the same state where people sue for getting fat and dropping coffee on themselves. Have fun floating off into the Pacific someday. Yours,The East Coast

Oh please, some of you guys talk as if you wouldn't do it if you had the opportunity. If the manufacture is willing to continue to produce these cars knowing that these issues exists, that's ok right? When the manufactures were able to grease enough palms to have a law put in place where there is "no cooling off period", is that right? You know how many shady dealers there are in this state, that have screwed over some many customers time and time again. If the customer buys the car they have to just live with it?All I'm trying to do is play their game. Buy a car that has these known issues and use the laws established in the GREAT STATE OF CALIFORNIA to lemon the car and get my money back.If you bought a Dell PC and it had a 1 year warranty and 1 year later some warranty issues arise you're not going to try to exchange/return the PC against the warranty?

You shut your filthy mouth when you're guzzling our West-Coast juices. Don't start up the Westcoast/Eastcoast beef again, rappers were killed in the last one.

These laws are put in place to protect consumers, not for shady customers to profit from.If you purchase the vehicle because it's an easy lemon in the event it turns out to be a p.o.s. is one thing. Buying it with the intent of lemoning it is just wrong.

This is a list of times from various cars going round the same track using the same professional driver: So take your pick from any of these - Note how high the Mitsubishi Evo's are considering they are just a 4 door family saloon. If you see one that looks out of place it is probably due to it being a wet lap. 1. 1:17.6 – Koenigsegg CCX (w/TG wing) 2. 1:18.4 – Pagani Zonda F 3. 1:18.9 – Maserati MC12 4. 1.19.0 – Enzo Ferrari 5. 1:19.5 – Ariel Atom 2 300 6. 1:19.8 - Lamborghini Murciélago LP640 7. 1:19.8 – Porsche Carrera GT 8. 1:20.4 – Koenigsegg CCX (Original)[3][4] 9. 1:20.7 – Ascari KZ1 10. 1:20.9 – Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren 11. 1:21.9 – Ford GT 12. 1:22.3 – Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale 13. 1:22.3 – Porsche 911 GT3 RS 14. 1:22.4 – Chevrolet Corvette Z06 15. 1:22.5 – Noble M15 16. 1:22.6 – Westfield XTR2[3] 17. 1:22.9 – Ferrari F430 F1 18. 1:23.2 – Ferrari F430 Spider F1 19. 1:23.7 – Lamborghini Murciélago 20. 1:23.8 – Pagani Zonda C12 S 7.3[5] 21. 1:23.9 – Koenigsegg CC8S 22. 1:24.3 – Prodrive P2 23. 1:24.6 – TVR Sagaris 24. 1:24.8 – Mitsubishi Evo VIII MR FQ-400 25. 1:24.8 – TVR Tuscan Mk.II 26. 1:25.0 – Noble M12 GTO-3R 27. 1:25.1 – Lotus Exige S 28. 1:25.7 – Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder 29. 1:25.8 – Lamborghini Gallardo[6] 30. 1:25.9 – Morgan Aero 8 GTN 31. 1:26.0 – BMW Z4 M Roadster 32. 1:26.0 – Mitsubishi Evo VIII MR FQ-320 33. 1:26.2 – BMW M5 34. 1:26.2 – BRABUS SV12 S Biturbo 35. 1:26.4 – Lotus Exige[5] 36. 1:26.7 – Porsche Cayman S 37. 1:26.8 – Chevrolet Corvette 38. 1:26.8 – Ferrari 575M Maranello HGTC 39. 1:26.9 – Mercedes-Benz CLS55 AMG 40. 1:27.1 – Aston Martin Vanquish S 41. 1:27.1 – Aston Martin DB9 42. 1:27.2 – Porsche 911 GT3[6] 43. 1:27.3 – Spyker C8 Spyder 44. 1:27.5 – TVR T350c 45. 1:27.9 – Wiesmann MF 3 46. 1:28.0 – BMW M3 CSL[6] 47. 1:28.0 – Roush Mustang Stage III 48. 1:28.2 – Marcos TSO GT2 49. 1:28.5 – Dodge Viper SRT-10[6] 50. 1:28.6 – MG XPower SV 51. 1:28.7 – Porsche Boxster S 52. 1:28.9 – Porsche 911 Carrera S[7] 53. 1:28.9 – Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VIII[3][8] 54. 1:29.0 – Mercedes-Benz CL65 AMG 55. 1:29.0 – Alpina V8 Roadster[6] 56. 1:29.0 – Lamborghini Murciélago[5][3][9] 57. 1:29.4 – Subaru Impreza WRX STi WR-1 58. 1:30.0 – Alfa Romeo 147 GTA 3.7 59. 1:30.0 – Ford Shelby GT500 60. 1:30.1 – Subaru Impreza WRX STi[3][8] 61. 1:30.1 – Vauxhall Monaro VXR 62. 1:30.4 – Aston Martin DB7 GT 63. 1:30.4 – Volkswagen Golf R32 2005 64. 1:30.9 – Audi S4 quattro 4.2 65. 1:31.0 – Porsche 911 Turbo[6] 66. 1:31.4 - Audi TT II 2.0T 67. 1:31.3 – Vauxhall VX220 Turbo 68. 1:31.6 – Honda NSX Type-R[6] 69. 1:31.8 – BMW M3 70. 1:31.8 – BMW 535d 71. 1:31.8 – Nissan 350Z 72. 1:31.8 – Mazda RX-8 73. 1:31.9 – BMW 130i 74. 1:32.2 – Ford Focus RS 75. 1:32.2 – Mazda6 MPS 76. 1:32.5 – Lotus Esprit V8 77. 1:32.5 – Renaultsport Mégane 225 Cup 78. 1:32.7 – Audi TT 3.2 quattro 79. 1:32.8 – Modernized Jaguar E-Type 80. 1:32.8 – Facelifted Honda Civic Type-R 81. 1:32.9 – SEAT León Cupra R 82. 1:32.9 – Mercedes-Benz SLK350 83. 1:33.0 – Mercedes-Benz SL55 AMG[6] 84. 1:33.0 – Vauxhall Astra VXR 85. 1:33.1 – Noble M12 GTO[6] 86. 1:33.3 – Volkswagen Golf R32 2003 87. 1:33.3 – Cadillac CTS-V[6] 88. 1:33.7 – MG ZT 260 89. 1:33.8 – Renaultsport Clio 182 Cup 90. 1:33.9 – Holden Monaro[6] 91. 1:34.0 - Renaultsport Mégane 225 92. 1:34.2 – MINI Cooper S Works 93. 1:34.5 – Ford Mondeo ST220 94. 1:34.7 – Jaguar XKR[10] 95. 1:34.9 – Ford Focus ST[11] 96. 1:35.0 – Volvo S60 R 97. 1:35.1 – Volkswagen Golf GTI 98. 1:35.2 – Ferrari 575M Maranello[7][3] 99. 1:35.3 – Vauxhall Vectra VXR 100. 1:35.6 – Alfa Romeo 147 GTA 101. 1:35.6 – Lotus Elise[6] 102. 1:35.8 – Citroën C4 VTS 103. 1:36.2 – Aston Martin V12 Vanquish[7][3] 104. 1:36.2 – Renault Clio[7] 105. 1:36.5 – Honda Civic Type-R 106. 1:36.9 - Alfa Romeo Brera 2.2 107. 1:37.0 – Porsche Boxster[6] 108. 1:37.3 – BMW Z4 3.0i[6] 109. 1:37.4 – Honda S2000[6] 110. 1:37.9 – Saab 9-5 HOT Aero 111. 1:38.0 – Maserati Coupé Cambiocorsa[6] 112. 1:39.4 – Bowler Wildcat 113. 1:40.8 – Bentley Arnage T[6] 114. 1:44.0 – Overfinch 580 S[6] 115. 1:46.0 – Aston Martin DB5

If you were to look hard enough I'm sure you could find a sweet Yugo or Ford Pinto instead.I mean, if you're looking to buy a piece of crap why gamble right?
