He lives out by St. Johns if I remember correctly. So if any of you are interested let me know. Also if you guys in the Chicago area have any home games/tournies on weekends let me know. Just wait around and people will pay you off with anything. The only problem with them making the 1-2 game was that it took alot of the fish out of the 2-5 game. The tournament structures suck there, but there like most other casinos where you can play a little bit the first few levels, but after that there isnt much play. They are having the HPT there the weekend of the 24th its a 2500 buy in. Satellites all week. Anyone thinking about gettin in that? Link to post Share on other sites

Normally it's like $12-20 preflop raises. This table was fine going with $6-10. Which I mean, that's fine with me, I don't really like putting 1/5th of my starting stack in preflop. Not that everyone was great, but it was much more limping and folding than past games i've played. Though there were donkeys, unfortunately they kept winning on me. I got up about $70 fairly early on. Then pick up QQ, call a raise and the flop comes 5 high. PF raiser bets $40 on the rag flop, which was a serious overbet compared to any previous hands, so it gets to me and I just push. I have him covered, as he only has $41 more. He thinks for a bit and then decides he should call me with AJo, no pair and 3 outs. Well the ace on the river takes my $170 pot away. Thanks donkey. So I recover from that, get back near even, give or take. Then just go up and down for quite awhile, win a decent hand, then i'd just miss 1000 flops in a row. Eventually I get AK, raise it up, guy to my left pushes all in for something like $35 more. So it folds to me and I call. Board comes JJT83... he turns over JT. Dammit! Eventually I busted him though, when I called a raise from the new table donkey with Kd9d, flop was KJx and it checked around. So on the turn blank I come out betting, the JT guy raises the minimum and I call. Turn is another blank, and I check, he bets all-in again for $36, so I take a little time, and if I make the call, I'm down to $15 at this point, so I decide to make a bad call in a decent sized pot, and toss it in there. He says "it's probably not a bad call", and turns over crap, he missed a straight draw. So then i'm back even and don't do much from there and wind up ending the session -$20.Luckily my girlfriend was playing 3/6 and wound up +$70 (which was my money), so we ended up +50 for the session between us. Good times, but just couldn't hit that one big hand that you usually wait for. (Or couldn't get paid when I did at least) Link to post Share on other sites
