Negreanu Claims Another PotWith a board reading A-7-6-2 and three spades, James Bullard checked to Daniel Negreanu. Kid Poker led out for 30K and "Catfish" Bullard check-raised him to 60K. Negreanu then made it another 60K to go, which got Bullard to go away. That, along with a pot he took down uncontested on the next hand, bumped Negreanu up to the neighborhood of 900K. It looks like he's ready to start running away with this thing.
what were the hole cards?

For those of you who are looking for a read while you sweat cardplayer, here's an interview from an upcoming WPT magazine where he talks about (around the middle) getting back on track and focusing on poker.... he also talks about wanting to do well in the Bellagio event he took third in..... my money might be on him for the CP Player of the Year in 2007 if he stays as focused as he seems to be now.http://www.fullcontactpoker.com/poker-foru...showtopic=85336
Lets not jinx the whole CP POY. It would be awesome to win it but its still early. That being said He's got a great shot at it. :club:

Ok stop needling each other already, this thread is for a discussion on Daniel who is 2nd in chips at the final table at a WPT event. Don't ruin it by flaming each other, if you need to well do it privately.

My apologies to Daniel and the forum. I promise to refrain from any more flaming in this thread.

Young raised 30K from the button and Daniel called from the small blind. Flop was 2 4 5 rainbow. Young bet 50K and Daniel called. Turn was an 8 and both checked. River was a 3 and Daniel checked, Young bet 60K and Daniel called, showing AT for the wheel (straight to the 5) and that took the pot.

Walking it OffWednesday, January 24, 2007 04:46 PM PSTYoung Cho, in the wake of his loss to Daniel nehreanu, is walking off his frustration. He looks pretty calm, but when I asked him about why he wasn't at the table, the questionable river call was definitiely on his mind.Aside from that one hand, he's feeling pretty good. Despite Daniel on his left, he's pretty happy with the way everyone's set up. With regards to Negreanu, he told me "I hope he's on my right tomorrow." Here he Comes...Wednesday, January 24, 2007 04:40 PM PSTDaniel Negreanu is putting on a clinic. He just value bet the river of a hand with Young Cho for T200,000, inducing the call with the nut straight. Then, he got T90,000 out of Bryan Sumner when he picked up pocket aces and induced a bet with a check on a king-high flop.Daniel's got over a million chips now, ample fuelto work the table with. With the rest of the table looking like they want the final table pretty badly, the kid could be poised for a run.

Former Chip Leader Leaves In 9thJames "Catfish" Bullard came over the top of Robert Thompson's opening 40K raise, and Thompson quickly called. Bullard held K-T of hearts, and Thompson flipped up K-J of clubs. The flop came all rags, and the jack on the turn left Bullard drawing dead. He takes down $57,124 for his 9th place finish.Bullard's total investment in this event was $500, which was the entry fee to Event #3, which he won. That win gave him a free entry into the main event, making for a pretty sweet parlay payoff of over $170K between the two events.
