digitalmonkey 929
Bullshit goal on a bullshit PP...1-0.
Zach6668 513
I are only listening on the radio.1-1 though.
dEv~ 19
The Pens had their moments but didn't play all that well overall. Price in his NHL debut at goal for the Habs played well and deserved the win.
doox 15
Bullshit goal on a bullshit PP...1-0.Crosby got shoved from behind by Hamrlik(?) and then stepped out of the crease as the goal was being shot. You got your 2 points, so quit crying.
serge 904
Update....Sundin 7 Crosby 2.....nice hand

Zach6668 513
I haven't seen the play, but saying Crosby gets preferential treatment is the most laughable thing you've ever said, Dale. If anything, it's the opposite, or at least it was in his first 2 seasons.

Zach6668 513
You're serious?
digitalmonkey 929
You're serious?Have a look at the highlights. That "crosscheck" call on Markov was a joke. Crosby felt a push from Markov, who had one hand on his stick by the way, and went down faster than Don Koharski on a walnut crunch.Crosby is a great player, but as much talent as he has I think his greatest asset is his hockey mind. He is an extremely smart player! He is simply awesome at getting away with things that others just don't know how to do as well as he does...things such as a little tug on the cuff of a glove to make an opponent stutter with the puck, knowing when to battle through an infraction or when to embellish it. A very good example was tonight when he squeezed between the post and Komisarek. He was very aware that Komisarek had to try to stop him from coming out and he took advantage by bumping off Komisarek into the crease. It's a very subtle play and I'm not saying he shouldn't do it, but if it's Sean Avery instead of Sidney Crosby then that goal is probably called off.
fryer98 30
Crosby stayed in the crease.I agree it was close and suprised there wasn't more of a argument by the Habs...or maybe there was and they didn't show it.The cross check was another iffy. Def not a crosscheck, but could have been interference or a rough.Roberts should have gotten a roughing for the hit in the corner with his hands up.?? should have gotten a trip on Malkin late going to the net. fryer98 30
Also, wtf was Sydor doing on Kovalev's goal? It looked like he was playing it like a 2-on-1, didn't challenge him at all.
serge 904
Then Penguins look like an average team that I have been predicting all along....And it looks like all the hype has gone to Crosby's head...Before comparing him to Gretzky maybe you people should wait till he puts up numbers consistently over a 15 year career...The party is over in Pittsburgh and Crosby wont score a 100 pts again..THATS right i said it.... dEv~ 19
Crosby will outscore Sundin by at least 10 points this year.
serge 904
Crosby will outscore Sundin by at least 10 points this year.Maybe he will but I highly doubt it...Before putting the man into the Hall of Fame like most of hockey has already done, realize that he is only 20 years old and its also possible that he wont put the numbers he did last year...He is building up the reputation of being a soft player who whines all the time....I am just playing the devils advocate here and the Crosby and Penguin lovefest is a bit overblown...I really hope the Pens continue lose and Crosby ends up with an 80 pt season.and Mats Sundin is a Hall of famer who has shown his consistency over a long career...Crosby has had two great years only and has a lot to prove...
dEv~ 19
of course Crosby and the Pens are over-hyped because the struggling league needs to market their best player on one of the most exciting young teams. I don't know where the soft player reputation is coming from. He draws a lot of penalties because a good amount of the time that's the only way he can be stopped.BTW Crosby already has more 100 points seasons in his career then Sundin.
serge 904
Dont get me wrong Crosby is a good young talent...but he isnt Gretzky or Lemieux...At least not yet...And the Pens are not Stanley Cup contenders like everyone will have you believe.
fryer98 30
BTW Crosby already has more 100 points seasons in his career then Sundin.BOOM!
serge 904
yes but Crosby has had two 100 pt seasons...The issue is not that...2 years is nothing in a career...We will see how he does when his soft , whiny reputation of a diver catches up with him....
Zach6668 513
lol serge, you're such a donkey.Your claims are so far off base that I won't even bother refuting them. Thanks Dev.
serge 904
ok...we will see...My claims are this:The Penguins wont make the playoffsCrosby will not win the scoring title and will have somewhere between 80-90ptsThe Pens goaltending and defence will be brutal all yearCrosby will whine until he gets his way..stay tuned
Zach6668 513
I don't get the whining thing...
