turned 21 last week, parents are takin me to laughlin (yes i know how gay it is and yes id much rather be in vegas) anybody have any idea of any good games? or any good tourneys over the weekend? Im guessing not too many of you played there so just kinda throwin it out there, seein how many responses/flames i get back.Ford

No SW here. Laughlin is actually a pretty nice getaway. I liked the Colorado Belle.

Laughlin poker is the best! The flamingo has some low limit games.Think of Laughlin as a small Vegas. You'll have a great time if you just mob around. One of the casino's has this enormous collection of coy fish that's pretty awesome to feed if you get the chance.The bowling alley is a great place to drink and have a great time w/ all 100 lanes. I can't remember the casino's but they're all in walking distance.Flamingo is the only place I've played and I did a little hit and run at 3/6 limit for about 75 bucks to pay for all my drink and gas getting up there and I was out!HAVE FUN!and good luck,The Bwaves

Don't let the Poker snobs get you down. I have heard that there is pretty good (poker) action in Laughlin - and you can't look a gift horse in the mouth. Your parents are pretty cool to sponsor a trip like that. However, that being said, If you can come up with the extra couple of bucks and go the extra hour and a half or so, Vegas is worth it....imagine if you were Muslum and on pilgrimage. You are going to the most Holy City of Mecca for the first time. You make it to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and are in the Red Sea port city of Jidda. Would you think: "Heck with it, I am in Jidda. Seems like a nice place. Mosques are not bad. Good food. Plenty of other Muslums here. This is close enough." No way. You'd find a way to go the extra 50 miles. There really is only one Vegas.

I visited Laughlin for the first time 4 weeks again. I was there Thurs-Sun.Very laid back and peaceful for relaxation. As for the poker I visited every casino and check out the poker rooms. No casino had more that 3 tables going at any one time. I stayed and played at harrahs. There was no NL games going just a 3/6 with a kill. Game was pretty weak loose. They had a "aces cracked" promotion all day saturday that I collected twice so profits there was pretty nice. They run 2 tourneys a day. I played a 70 buy in on saturday only 18 players that paid 4 spots. With 4 left we chopped evenly. Just one other note, played Friday at the Ramanda express they had a 2-6 spread limit holdem and a 1/2 nl game. Game there was "beginner" literally. They actually ran a 10 seat "play chip" table teaching table as soon as that ended the 10 players literally joined us at the 1/2 NL table as seats opened up. That was fun :club:

so far with my research i can see there a decent 100 tourney at the colrado belle, nobody mentions any live games like 1/2 etc. I think my main goal is see how many old tight *** men i can piss off
If you can find someone under 50 let me know.

I like Laughlin to relax play a little poker and have fun. Vegas is poker and party......And thats all i can remember. Laughlin is so relax thats it's just a cool place to hang out. Tight playes at the tables but very fun to chat with...they all have a story. But you have to go to vegas to party...

He's probably not going to party it up with his parents, so save Vegas for a trip with friends.Have fun in Laughlin with your parents. What an awesome gift for you. Laughlin sounds like a great place to "get your feet wet" in the pool of live poker.
