Bill_Brasky 0 Posted August 16, 2006 Share Posted August 16, 2006 I play at a cardroom near my home about three days out of the week, and am very familiar with the owner, the floormen, and most of the dealers. One of the dealers and I are good friends. We play home games together and hang out on a fairly regular basis. Here's where it get's a little tricky. I recently discovered that this dealer is of Mexican decent. Normally this wouldn't be a problem for me at all. I have many friends of different races, but because he is employed at my favorite casino I feel there is a conflict of interest. Like most poker players, I have an obligation to the integrity of the game, and I'm almost positive the managers of the casino are unaware that this dealer is Mexican. He's very light skinned. Now I am in no way suggesting that the owners would fire this guy because of his race, but it's fair to assume that they would want to keep a close eye on him just in case. Personally, I should have seen this coming a long time ago. His name is Jesus, but I just didn't put two and two together. I've been pronouncing it like the biblical name. Anyway, I don't want to rat out my friend, but I feel sometimes like I owe my loyalty first to the game and the casino. What do you guys think I should do? Link to post Share on other sites
