ScottK2001 0
I usually stick to the 109 and 215 SNG's, as well as some of the 100+ party MTT's, but as an experiment I want to see if by playing either the 5, 10 or 20 SNG's I can reduce my variance and get a steadier ROI. (I think I'd get bored of these levels pretty quick, but I want to give it a shot)The few times I have tried the 5 SNG's (or watched friends with small bankrolls play them), I am dumbfounded by how bad the play is, and I was wondering if that extends to the 10s and 20s, or if at that point people finally start to get a clue about pot odds, etc...? I also want to try and work on multi-tabling, and I figure that's a good place to start.

mx957 0
Freerolls by far have the best players. Just try em out. If you can consistently beat a freeroll, your doing something!!!!(sw).

I would say that the play is horrible up to the 30s.. then at the 50s you will get a few more solid players.. but the weak tight players extend all the way through the 200s with a donkey or 2 at each table ..if you are making decent money at the 109s and 215s.. dont leave.. its just natural that the higher the buy in.. the more your ROI will go down.also... multitabling will lower your ROI but you will make more money because you are pumping out more and more tournaments ( that is if you are a winning player, which i'm assuming you are).. gl in whichever route you take

Usually takes around an hour no worth it.

dirtystacks 0
I don't think the players at the $50 level on stars are any better than those at the $10 level. They play differently, but I think it's easier to beat them. They know enough to fold, which really reduces the variance from people hitting draws and crap. I think the primary difference is that you need to hit some hands to money in the $10 ones because those people have no problem getting it all in with any two cards. The higher buyin ones you can make the money with blind steals and clever flop play regardless of your holdings.
scottyno 0
don't play the $5 sngs on party, if you have a small enough roll that you have to play 5s take your money to another site instead of paying the extra juice to play 5+1s instead of the 5+.50 that every other site offers
milestodavid 0
i've played at pretty much every level and the best is yet to be seen. when buy-ins get higher, people get tighter. i think the better players lie in the 50-100 range because some can manage a loose/tight style of play and be somewhat successful. They just take too long and not enough money at stake. But I agree, if you are trying to jist improve your game or if you only have like a 100 bucks on a site.

But if you can master that boy ... TP/MM.

Purdue_Pete 0
I built my bankroll multi-tabling $20 SNG's on Stars and moved up from there. I didn't find much difference between the $20 and $50. I played those for a while and moved to ring games.
Dirtydutch 8
I think a lot of people are lying about the buy-in size they play. That or they manage their bankroll like shit.
