Of course, that is a completely different situation. You're talking about a tournament vs. a home cash game. Even if you were just talking casino cash game vs. tournament, the rules are more permissive. When you add in the home element, many home games are more permissive yet.

Collusion is two players working together to obtain an advantage. Their interests were contrary here. She didn't want to give away her hand strength, but apparently she sucks at poker. He wanted her to give away her hand so he could make a good decision. There's no collusion there. (Unless they were planning on splitting up the money after the game.)

Even raising premium hands 5 to 6 times the blind can be unprofitable if you play sub-optimally post-flop. You may be laying your opponents huge implied odds if you can't get away from a hand. I'm not saying this is your problem, but I'm offering it as a possibility. If you feel like you might be giving them implied odds or the table is REALLY loose, you could try raising 1/6th of your stack with AA. At this level any callers are making a mistake (at least the first one is).
