Obviously, Shamrock is a BAMF. That said, I wonder about his coaching, or if not his coaching his instinct. Shamrock is an MMA legend. He might teach great technicque, but hitting golf balls while Tito is making his guys run stairs might not be the best idea. If, at the beginning, Shamrock told his guys they were responsible for their own cardio, that's one thing, but I don't think his guys realized that.

I've been questioning his training methodolgy all season. It always seems like Tito is working his guys, pushing pushing pushing. Whereas, Shamrock doesn't seem to do really anything to push these guys, except maybe a hard sparring session the day before they fight (wtf?) like he did earlier in the season.

In an interview and postings on the Ultimate Fighter website by Kalib and Tait they said that Shamrock didn't care one bit about his team and that they would have rather been on Tito's team. Shamrock bringing in his friend as a "nutritionist" rather than getting a good BJJ/Wrestling coach was one of the bigger mistakes that he made as a coach. It just seems that Tito really gave two bits about his team and Shamrock didn't.

I hate to admit it, but I've ended up liking Tito better than Ken. Yes, they both hate each other, but Tito focused on making his team win. Ken seemed to just think that because he coached them, they'd be great. As we've seen, Tito's approach was better.

The most telling thing about the level of care for his team came from what Dana said at the end of the show. In essence he said that Tito really cared about pouring as much knowledge into the fighters as possible and Shamrock just went through the motions so he could get at Tito.I hope Tito beats him and beats him bad.Ed will beat Kendall and Busbing will destroy Josh. I think they were 2 of the best at the start anyway, so that's good.

I'll start by giving my comments on season 3. Personally, I was rooting for Kalib from the moment I saw him. He just seems like one of those bad *** guys who will destroy you. And to me, he won both rounds 1 and 2 of the fight in the semis, but I'm not the judge, so take that for what you will.I personally don't see the Bisping vs. Haynes finale being much of a fight. Bisping is just so damn good, and he's entertaining to watch as well. For what it's worth, it's probably better that Matt wasn't able to continue, because he would have been absolutely destroyed by Bisping. Now, the Middleweight final has me intrigued. Kendall vs. Ed. On paper, it's probably got to be Ed, but Ed hasn't looked great at all in his first two fights. He was handed the win by Danny when he gave up his arm, and his fight against Rory was much the same way. But Kendall, Kendall has really shown me something. His first fight went great, and his stand up in the fight against Kalib was great. In the end, I'll call for the upset special here. Kendall beats Ed, and wins the contract. But, now I gotta say, I'm just not impressed much with this season. I watched all of the first season, and I was so impressed with those fighters. But, just look, how many of them are regulars now? Josh Koscheck, Chris Leben, Kenny Florian, Nate Quarry, Stephan Bonnar, Sam Hoger, Mike Swick, Alex karalexis, Forrest Griffin, and Diego Sanchez are all members of the ACTIVE roster. That's 10 of the 16 members of the show!! There are considerably less from season 2 on there. How many will there be from season 3? Well, my thoughts are:Kalib StarnesKendall GroveEd HermanMatt Hamill (They'll probably give him a shot)Michael BispingTait FletcherThat's probably it. So, since season 1 i think there's been a drop off in talent. Less entertaining? No. But, just less talent over all.Oh yeah, and Tito is going to just MURDER Shamrock. It's not going to be close. 1st round tap out punches. Write it down.-Shawn K.

IF you haven't seen the finale for season 3 you may want to read laterThe Kendall/Ed fight was great. Both those guys left it all in the octagon. I was kind of surprised at Ed's eagerness to go to the ground. I figured he would try to soften Kendall up a little up before moving to the ground. Kendall really impressed me, he seemed like a patient, thinking fighter and that was demonstrated by ability to get Ed in some pretty dicey positions submission-wise. Again, I think it came to conditioning and training, and that advantage was definately with Tito's "new little brother" Kendall. The work Tito did all season with his team members was, I think, highlighted in this finale. But, ya gotta give credit to Ed for his heart when Kendall had that rear choke on, I can't believe Ed didn't tap and hung on til the end of the round. As for the Bisping/Haynes bout, no big surprises there. Bisping is far superior to Haynes technically and his conditioning was leaps ahead as well. The only way Haynes could've won that is if one of his wild punches connected and put Bisping down. If I was those guys on Shamrocks team, I'd be extremely upset at the lack of leadership Ken exhibited. All-in-all, the season could've been better, but there was at least some decent talent in there. Looking forward to 4 in August though....

I definitely enjoyed the finale.Kendall and Ed's fight was amazingly good. Bisping did pretty much what I expected. And I thought Kenny Florian was impressive as well. Took him like a minute to take that guy out without even getting hit. Pretty nice. Looking forward to the next season too. I'm officially hooked on UFC I think.

I'm so good its scary. And for the person who hopes Ortiz vs. Shamrock 2 will live up to the hype, it won't. Ortiz is going to blow through Shamrock in the 1st round.-Shawn K

I definitely wasn't disappointed in the finale, incredible... now for Shamrock and Ortiz in 2 weeks... hopefully it lives up to its hype.
Yeah this fight is on Birthday. I was planning on heading to the casino that night but they may not have the fight so I might just end up throwing a shindig at my place, getting the PPV and then see if I can get a home game together afterwards. Especially since I'm still peeved about missing the Gracie bout in June because I was camping that weekend....

So I've watched a couple of episodes of Ultimate Fighter 4: The Never-will-be's and all I can say is "who cares?" These guys lost some tough matches previously, okay fine. If the loss was by decision, I'll buy that, give em a shot. But guys that go in and get dominated for almost an entire fight to get knocked out or submitted, do they really deserve the opportunity for a title shot? Also from what I've seen of the fighters they are going to get absolutely destroyed in the octagon against somebody like franklin or liddell or whoever is on top at the time they get to the title shot. I'm talking knockouts a la tyson time wise. Or, they will get completely picked apart to the same inevitable end. So, all in all, I'll probably still watch the season, but I won't be as invested in it, like I was with the "new blood" of previous seasons and I won't go out of my way to make sure I catch every episode.

I think this season of TUF sucks! How can guys who have had a few fights in the UFC and lost their last fight in the UFC win a competition and get to fight for the championship. It makes no sense. Hughes and Franklin will kill them.

***SPOILER ALERT***What a complete fuck up! The homeless dude, Jeremy, gets an opportunity like that and throws it away for a piece of ass. I was actually looking forward to seeing him fight too. I think that's an even dumber move than the guy deciding to go home cuz his gf thought he cheated on her. At least in that situation the guy had some kind of on-going relationship, not just some meet and boink skank. Jeremy is one dumb dude that is going to live and die by the motto "nothing beats strange pussy," probably end up in porn. You know, after seeing Chris Lytle's fight against Lawler, I'm glad he's getting another shot. I still don't think they should go to an automatic title shot, but they should definately get fast-tracked or something. I have to agree with LAS22, they simply won't be ready tactically, strategically, or physically to face the domination that is Matt Hughes.

can someone exlain who got kicked off and why. I saw the preveiw where it showed Dana tellin someone to pack their bags but couldnt watch the episode
George St. Pierre took all the guys to the YMCA pool, and there was this cheerleader there that the homeless guy hit on and told to meet him outside the house. At midnight, he left the house (which they aren't allowed to do) to go get some puss. I don't even know if it was confirmed if he got any or not. Dana was not happy.Have fun sleeping in your trunk, moron.
