Questions For Doyle's Room

Recommended Posts

I enjoyed my time there. I played 50 and 100 NL, lots of juicy europeans. I didn't care for the tournaments. Seemed like most of the guaranteeds were rebuys. The structure was ok. The bonus was tough for me to clear, as you received points based on rake contributed. The hardcover SS2 you get in addition to the bonus is nice though, even if it took what seemed like 2 months to receive.

I play on bospoker which is part of the same server (Tribeca) as Doyle's Room. Each individual room has their own special tournies and stuff, but most of the tournies allow players from the whole "network" to play. Doyle's Room's special tourny is the Thursday night bounty with Doyle for instance. They have lots of choices for games with cash games and STTs. I have found that there are some donks and some good players just like anywhere else. I like the mid-limit STTs myself as I don't really play cash games.

ive been playin there for a while now clearin the sign up bonus, and ive got to say its a better site than i was expecting....its easily one of the fishiest places ive played. The tournament structures are kinda fast, but the people in them play like a play money tourney so its more than easy to get a big enough stack to deal with that. Both the NL and limit games are super soft, and the NL games have 200BB buy ins which i really love. The only negative things i can say about the site is that the action buttons are a little too small which can make multi tabling a bit more difficult and during NL games the 2x 4x 8x buttons they have to quickly raise a set amount raise that amount on top of the call which i still forget about and has bitten me in the *** in more than one tournament where i forgot and ended up making a much larger raise than i intended. other than that, the bonus isnt very fast to clear, but its definitley a site worth spending some time at.

don't know about Doyle's, but I've played at Golden Palace on the same network.the low limit LHE games were pretty wild. the 1/2 LHE game especially was extremely loose.i like the interface, especially with how nicely the points and bonuses are tracked. underrated sites IMO.the low limit PLO8 games were also laughably bad. i think i averaged over 30bb/100 over a few thousand hands without really knowing what i'm doing. almost everyone buys in for the minimum and will limp/call for half their stack with any 4. but i don't know what its like at reasonable limits

The Bounty tourney is pretty good. I like the interface. Turned $20 into over $500 at BoS (affiliate) over a weekend too.

thats what the NL cash games are like too..ill buy in for the max and just bust player after player that buys in for the min. very soft games.

Tournments suck. May have horrible players, but it a huge crapshoot.PLO games are very juicy. Just very sick variance. Can easily be up or down 5 buy-in in a night. PLO8 is good, but the PLO games are better. For me, the NL games were not a juicy as I thought. I do like that the smaller limits of NL and Pot Limit games (up to .25/.50 have a 200X max buy-in, so the max-buy in for a .25/.50 games is $100, while at .5/$1 and up you only have 100X buy-in. Other games are better. The limit games are great. Played $1/$2 the other night, and was up $75 in two hours.Hand I played last night: I get Queens, raise two callers. Flop comes J-x-x. Check, Bet, call, call. Turn is blank. Check, bet, call, rold. Turn is J. Bet, call. They muck.
