InternetExplorer 2,609
we have a sales person in our office, and everyone has complained to management about her. some much louder than others, but they don't do anything. some people are just bullet proof. hope this guy isn't one of those people. He isn’t. He’s feeling mildly empowered and riding a decent streak because he’s a yes man to one of the people in leadership. For various reasons, the firm is sensitive to this sort of disrespect right now, and he did it to me on the record. I realized that I should just overlook my boss’s reaction and work to solve the fixable problem. The art of the possible, and all that.

I realized that I should just overlook my boss's reaction and work to solve the fixable problem. The art of the possible, and all that. it's such a tough thing to do. all the time i tell myself to be more positive, focus on the good aspects of the job and ignore the morons who don't deserve the pay they receive. it will be like that in any company, so only focus on what i'm getting. i try and try but i always fail, especially when they bring me some problem that could have been easily avoided had they let me lead the meeting, or even told me about the meeting, instead of having the meeting without me. i wish you luck on that quest because god knows i don't have it in me. InternetExplorer 2,609
My boss disagreed with me, went to him, told him about it and wrecked our working relationship. Pretty good showing.

Ron_Mexico 4,219
It’s funny that you guys complain to your bosses about slights and perceived attitude Then again, I usually say what’s on my mind if I have a good relationship with my boss. Likely why I have a stalled career. That and I tend to check out when it gets challenging.

I mean, I probably did, but I would never do it myself.

Napa may be a millennial, but he's a Midwesterner, first and foremost, and like all real Midwesterners, he's deals with stress and disrespect as God intended, eats it with as smile and, at most, a little passive aggressive joke, while burying the rage deep inside, respressing that anger and letting the pain slowly destroy us from the inside.
Essay21 2,385
on some level i always knew i was unattractive and undesirable to women, but you don’t put yourself out there and you can convince yourself that it doesn’t happen because you don’t try. then you get on dating apps like bumble and tinder and reality can no longer be denied. i swipe yes on a thousand good looking women and none of them have swiped yes on me. single moms, older broads with clear emotional baggage, younger intellectual types. nothing. but i see on the thing that there are 50 women that have swiped yes on me, so i keep swiping. then i notice that every time i swipe no on some fat blob that number of waiting matches goes down. these fat blobs think they have a chance. then you realize you’re the fat blob to the good looking women. technology is ruining this once great country, i tell you that. Theraflu 1,035
Ah, well, congrats on the seeing the light. I'm currently battling some AIDS-lite thing my kindergartner picked up. Not loving it.
David_Sklansky 1,903
What are your profiles like, SA? I think a lot of people who don't see themselves as attractive go over-the-top trying to show their personality with try-hardedness, failing to understand that their personality is actually the greater bottleneck. For you, you want to keep your profile simple, mostly pictures of the BMW. Girls can't tell the difference between a 320 and an M3. Get up early tomorrow and take some pictures, cars photograph best right at sunrise.
SuitedAces21 2,722
my profiles are a portrait of minimalism. simple photos, from a safe distance, and absolutely no selfies. my personality is only displayed through a select movie or literary quote, that i change periodically. i'm not a fan of the typical "single guy who enjoys x y z and is looking for x y z." David_Sklansky 1,903
Yeah, you're going to need to step up your BMW game then. It's that or the blobs, and honestly I think either option is pretty appealing. If you're interested in doing both, though, I'd actually say stay away from the E30, it might not have enough room. SuitedAces21 2,722
i think i'll probably just give up and gain a bunch of weight. right now i'm in this uncomfortable middle area where i'm not fat but i'm not thin and nobody likes a guy who can't commit one way or the other. David_Sklansky 1,903
pro tip: fight club quotes on your profile will not get you laid. Palahniuk is really popular on r/redpillwomen. I'm pretty sure your dates on there will consist of a mysterious, husky falsetto instructing you to feed your junk through a slot in the door, which may or may not be SA's thing.
SuitedAces21 2,722
it's not. i liked to use fear and loathing quotes, but apparently no women have ever seen that movie.
David_Sklansky 1,903
That coked up bathroom sex incident suddenly makes so much more sense to me.
Essay21 2,385
you have to remember, that in the moment i didn’t realize she was coked up. she certainly didn’t offer me any or discuss it with me in any way. i just thought she was extra horny and wanted it bad. her calling me a pussy for not fvcking her hard enough just seemed par for the course.
David_Sklansky 1,903
I rarely have sex where no one calls me a pussy, but I also rarely have sex where none of us are gacked up.
Ron_Mexico 4,219
Women don’t know, care about or like movie quotes. Lead the with some likes, baseball, movies, other generic stuff that women may like and you can tolerate, shoe horn in your law degree and high level banking whathave you, end with a solid joke about loving short walks on the beach or some other cliche opposite. You’ll get swipes. You’re more than average looking enough to find a hotish single mom that is looking for a meal ticket, as long as you make her laugh and treat her to a good time. No chipotle. Decent, non chain restaurant and wine bar/lounges. Fake the funk till you get that nasty dunk (of your balls in her mouth). Confidence ensues, you’ll get the stink of pussy on you and it will all come together.
