speedz99 145
You cant compare 1/2 NL to 1/2 LHE.A better comparison is stakes that require identical "bankrolls". If you assume the 1200bb's and 300BB rule to be equivalent in terms of the risk of ruin that they provide, you can say that 1/2 NL is the equivalent of 4/8 LHE.How well you do at either of those depends on the competition. There's no way to know which you'll be beating for larger amounts.I like that phrase.Good post.
iggymcfly 0
If you're a solid, disciplined player, I believe that NL cash games do offer a little better profit potential. There's more opportunity to show skill and a player with good reading ability can steal 30 bb in a position where an average player wouldn't.However, 6-max limit games are much easier to beat, and if you have any propensity to tilt at all, you'll probably do better with them. If you're looking to hammer out a consistent winrate with relatively low risk, I think the 6-max limit games are where it's at.

The min-raise from UTG and then the $29 re-raise/push is definitely the way I like to play AA.If you play it any other way, you're a donkey.

RDog 0
quote]is it really unthinkable to lay down KK here? the guy min-raised utg and then came back over the top all in. To quote my main man, Dan Harrington, overthinking K's and laying them down cause you think the other guy has A's will lose you much more money over the long run. Too many people don't want to have decisions to make when they have 10's, J's, Q's so they will put all their money in with those so the decision making process is over. Also have to take into account AK and those that can't lay down AQ, AJ (yes, they are out there). Very, very, very rarely should you lay down K's.
