When you see someone at an online table, and it says their loation is Las Vegas, do you believe them? I can't understnad why they would be playing online when they could head down to a casino any time and play the same games live, which is celarly more fun!?!?!?! Is it supposed to be an intimidation tactic? I know a lot of pros live in Vegas and play online, but not at my limits and they usually play online as part of a promotion or for similar reasons. Or am I just reading far to far into this? lol!

It may seem hard to believe, but this town has a way of wearing you down...The tourists have figured out most of the shortcuts around the strip now and traffic can be horrible. Most folks here are so proud to get home after work, they often stay there for the evening.sound reasonable?

I can still drive from Fremont to Henderson in 20 min. if there are no wrecks on 15....Industrial and Koval have been mentioned on the Travel Channel too much lately... those were my main routes a couple years ago. Now they both suck

the only negative thing about playing at home is the hot waitresses you are missing out on....then again, you could watch porn while playing online.
Only one hot waitress at Trop. The rest are disgusting heffers who have the most annoying voices in the world.

Kind of a weird question...and Im sure its been brought up before in another thread or six but, Me and a freind were discussing skillsets of online pro's vs B&M pros and the pros and cons of each. We just agreed that it purely and simply has to come down to the profitability of Physical reads vs Multitabling. I personally dont see how physical reads could ever have better value than 6 tables and rake back but...then again Im terrible at poker in general. Is it fair to say thats what it all boils down, tells vs # of tables?

besides the few obvious answers given by the rest of the posts, yes, some people put vegas cuz the can, same reason people have "at your moms house" or "blah blah blah, for their location on FCP.I dont think you should even consider it intimidation, if anything, u should talk to them and go on about recent events relating to the poker world, see if they know any, and show them how hardcore u are.and then you should open fold every 2nd hand

It's actually kind of interesting. Being from Vegas seems to all of a sudden make you a pro in the minds of most of the tourists at the B&M's. A lot of times if I am playing on the Strip....I'll ask people around me where they are from on purpose, just to get the question back in return. When people hear that I am from Las Vegas.....my hand values automatically go up about 25%. Little do they know that I'm just a professional musician that is a horrific poker player with a lot of time on his hands.....but I'll take every advantage they will give me.
