mrdannyg 274
Yeah, but those countries don't do nearly as much winning as the U.S. will do after Trump makes it great again. Spademan's/Altmeyer's explanation about the filing cabinet is amazing. I mean, it's basically just calling them idiots who can't critically compare two pieces of information against each other, but it's so scientific! Cruz' wins are definitely good for Trump. If there is one person who would actually fare worse than Trump in a convention or general election, it's Cruz. With these wins, there's no chance he goes anywhere. I think people are making a mistake if they think today's Trump is tomorrow's Trump. As he gets closer to the white house, he's going to become less populist and more republican. the authoritarians aren't going anywhere, and the remaining republicans will start seeing someone they can actually vote for, and the money will start flowing in. He's the first person to admit that his current act is just that, and he'll become less of an extremist as an actual candidate/president.
Spademan 94
I've heard that a lot from Bernie supporters. I don't know all of the countries that do it, but I assume they all have smaller populations than the US. If so, could that play a factor? If my questions sound stupidly ignorant, it's because I am. Especially when it comes to politics. Stupid and ignorant are different things in a very important way, and asking questions in an earnest attempt to alleviate the latter about a subject is almost always a sign one doesn't suffer the former. Anyway, yeah, size plays a factor. So does culture, and a number of other things. Anyone who tells you that transforming the US to a social democracy in the exact same vein as somewhere else would be possible and, even further, easy, is lying to you or stupid. However, progressively higher taxation, universal health care, publicly funded higher education, and living wages - strong support for the most impoverished - are certainly possible and further, necessary, for a sustainable and well-functioning society. And these need to happen sooner rather than later. Really, it's a broad and complex subject, but those are some basics to start with.

BigDMcGee 3,352
Is Socialism really that bad, or is it just a bunch of conservatives getting their panties in a bunch? Bad for the country? I don't think so. Bad for the Billionaire money men? Most certainly.

Spademan 94
haha, I got 99% Bernie, and 98% Clinton 18% Ted Cruz, 9% drumpf, 3% Carson /Canadian Fuuuuck. It is interesting, however - you aren't the first person I've seen get the same or 1% different on Bernie and Clinton, and I'm not sure how that happens. I was 96% Bernie and 85% Hillary, for example Aside from Hillary tuning her opportunist, pandering political script to sound more like Bernie recently, since he's pulling her left, their stated claims (and certainly their records) are different enough that it is odd to me that someone can score in such a way that they are 99% and 98% respectively. Dubey 1,035
yeah I was surprised as well. I wonder if certain questions are weighted more heavily, or if the website is bought and paid for. On the one about needing a photo ID to vote, I expanded the selections and chose the one that said all people should automatically be signed up to vote when they turn 18. When I finished the quiz, I got a pop-up that prompted me to enter my e-mail to co-sign Hillary's proposal for the above, and add myself to her mailing list.
Spademan 94
yeah I was surprised as well. I wonder if certain questions are weighted more heavily. I certainly think that the "most - somewhat - least" weight has something to do with it. And that is interesting about the prompt you got. Though if Cruz 98% agreement people get a pop up asking them if they would like to co-sign the latest proposal to introduce the latest Burn Gays at the Stake for America and God bill, then it would be a sign of fairness. BigDMcGee 3,352
Rubio is going to take this running away. Yeah, not so much. Drumpf is crushing the Florida polls, and since Florida is winner take all, that's a GG for the GOP establishment. Trump has a 5 point lead over Kasich in Ohio, but that's kinda irrelevant. That's the only state Kasich can win. If Trump wins Florida, that's a wrap. Even if Rubio drops out, ether's no reason to believe Cruz will automatically get all of those voters. This primary will be over in two weeks, I think.
SuitedAces21 2,721
is there a way that trump can win florida and ohio and the repub's just refuse to give him the nomination? mind you, i don't know anything about politics.

brvheart 1,751
I took that stupid quiz and I got 79% Gary Johnson, 69% Bernie Sanders, 69% Marco Rubio, 60% Hillary However, I wrote in at least two questions because the answers didn't have anything close to what I would have chosen. Also, I think the abortion question really skews my numbers. I'm basically for states rights across the board, per the 10th amendment. I'm pro-gay marriage (actually anti-governmental recognition of all marriages), against the death penalty, against foreign aid, against military involvement in other countries, pro-massive NASA spending increases, but against abortion in every circumstance; which makes me a wacko. I just don't think that we should condemn an innocent person to death for the crime of their fathers. **** me, right!?
BigDMcGee 3,352
Anti-government recognition of all marriages is a sassy end-round on the whole issue.
brvheart 1,751
The reason I worded it that way was because I'm actually ok with gay marriage, even if the government continued to recognize all marriages. As a Christian, I find it ridiculous that other Christians think that they have the right to control the lives and/or sin of other people outside the local church. It's anti-Biblical. I also despise the fact that the same loud opponents of gay marriage get divorces and cheat on their spouses and see no hypocrisy in that. It drives me insane.

Spademan 94
Donald Trump - "My Dick Is Huge" Yeah. It was pretty hilarious to see the front-runner of one of the two relevant political parties defending the size of his **** in a nationally televised event. Just hilarious. but against abortion in every circumstance; which makes me a wacko. Not just a wacko, but a disgusting and ignorant piece of shit. Let me tell you something - if I were a father, say, and I had a daughter, let's say she's 14, and she were raped and impregnated at some point, and you were to say to my face that you wish you could force her to carry her rapist's tumor inside of her body, I would punch you right in the ****ing mouth. And, if you somehow were in a position where you could actually force her to do so, I would literally kill you.
