Really shocked that Toomey might lose in Pennsylvania. No surprise that Manchin won in WV (effectively killing the GOP's chances at a takeover). Obama must be happy that it looks like the Dems will keep his old Senate seat.Still in shock that Rick "biggest medicare fraud in history" Scott will probably be our governor. I guess there is nothing that you can do that will be an automatic disqualifier from being governor someday. If Florida does not fall into the sea during his tenure, I'm calling it a win.

The national bar was set when Marion Barry got caught on film selling crack and still got re-elected. Until someone murders a baby on live TV and gets re-elected, that will probably have to be the standard.

Yeah, I would have been shocked if Sestak won.Manchin lives in WV. It's a conservative place. Notice how we aren't trying to kick him out of the party like the GOP would. If Kirk wins, that's in Obama's face. But if Barbara Boxer and Harry Reid somehow survive, I will laugh. If they just run someone not ridiculous in those two races, GOP wins two more seats in a cakewalk.

Is there any more substance to the Tea Party Movement than "taxes are bad and booooooo healthcare?" I mean, I don't know how to have a rational discussion about taxes with somebody (you) who thinks public schooling is a terrible idea. These people are serious:tea-party-signs2.jpgdc_tea_party_socialism.jpg100722507_blog_main_horizontal.jpgteaparty_1662304c.jpgTea_Party_Politics_348640267.jpgp1030196.jpg20100207_90625772_w.jpgracist_tea_party.jpg0919-tea-party-funding.jpg_full_600.jpg20090912TeaParty02.jpgtea%20party%20photos.jpgdaily_kos__tea_party_photos.jpgtea-party-3-1024x781.jpg8654.jpgAnd these people are joking:slide_12644_170498_large.jpgslide_12644_170161_large.jpgslide_12644_169309_large.jpgslide_12644_169299_large.jpgslide_12644_169371_large.jpgslide_12644_169447_large.jpg

Obama won a good percentage of the places he campaigned in 2008. Classic sophmore slump.lmao at wakefield's montage.rich iott loses---nazi costumes never end well.angle loses, o'donnell loses. I'm not sure the Tea Party did THAT well today. GOP wins those two seats for sure with normal candidates. If Joe Miller loses, Sarah Palin didn't really have that good a day. Also, Colorado dodges Tom Tancredo and Florida can't dodge Rick Scott. bah.

Democrats got their anuses force-fisted without the benefit of lube, today. There is no spinning it any other way. Just a tidal-wave of failure. Leftists should realize that they never, ever have a 'mandate'. When they're elected, it's simply because the more conservative choice went off the rails. The best they can do is keep their heads down and do as little as possible. Otherwise, should they delude themselves into believing that it's finally the time to implement leftist agenda, this is what they get. America dislikes the left, always, even if they occasionally elect them out of protest. Also, I hate- HATE- Kirk and would've rather seen the Greek win.

See, a rant against the left....but in your case you would rather have the Democrat. The GOP had the ultimate running platform this election cycle but that far outstripped the quality of their actual candidates. As bad as the Dems did today, the fact that they didn't lose the Senate too is hilarious.....several Dems should have lost and got bailed out by dogshit Tea Party candidates. Also, the lamestream media's smear machine must work really well....all the tea party people who took the brunt of the negative coverage lost.

I would've rather had the Greek not because he was a Democrat, but because Kirk has a rotten, rotten liars soul. He is the least genuine candidate of the entire election and a huge indictment on how bad large groups of people can be at assessing the intentions and reading the souls of other people (ergo: who poker will always remain profitable) It happens, sometimes, where the Democrat is the better person than the Republican. In those rare cases, I'd rather see the Democrat win, but only for one term, until a decent competitor can be found to unseat them.

Governor Jerry Brown 2.0? Bwhahahahahahah California never disappoints.
My goodness California is stupid. I don't think a large group of people could make worse collective decisions. Did you see his victory speech? The guy could barely string two words together. It was embarrassing.

Atta boy Cain, keep up the good fight. None of this matters, it is just a mid term and to be expected. I only hope BHO and the rest of the survivors feel the same way. Please please please continue with business as usual, go out of your way to slam the cap and trade in for approval, continue the payouts / bribes to the unions….after all it was just a midterm. These people that voted today don’t really understand the high level of thinking required to be a progressive democrat but if you just continue with the plan they will eventually come around. Make the republicans the bad guys…forced to reject the 1.5 trillion deficit that democrats want to spend this year. Yep keep on keeping on!! That is exactly what you should do!!!

Classic Sophmore Slump? These kind of gains by a party havent been seen since World War 2On a national level the tea party senate candidates were about 50/50Winners - Rubio, Rand, Johnson (WI)Losers - Odonnell, Angle, MillerWhere you really need to look to see how well the "TEA PARTY" did is in the House Races & LOCAL state races - where I am pretty sure the numbers a pretty impressive. I am actively trying to find that statistic for you.

biggest red hearing in years. He bought companies that had engaged in fraud. Luckily voters in Florida saw through that.

How about: a couple things have, you know, uh...HAPPENED since 1773, and nearly everything they claim to desire was implemented 250 years ago under the Articles of Confederation, when the economy was agrarian not a massive post-industrial/service economy, and having an ineffectual central government was a massive failure even then. Let's consider how that system would do with a $14 trillion dollar economy running completely unchecked.Rolling things back to "WHAT THE FOUNDING FATHERS ENVISIONED" is such a wonderful sentence of high-minded empty language that has no bearing on reality today, again, because we have 250 years of history in between, and also because the founding fathers were intelligent enough to realize a static system had no long-term sustainability and thus realized that government needed to be able to adapt. And (paraphrasing Schlesinger) as the growing complexity of the economy required increasing intervention in order to assure fairness, rest assured, the founding fathers, who were interested in ends rather than dogma, would have altered their view; and indeed, many of them did in their lifetimes. But yeah, let's party like it's 1773.Palin 2012

Big win in the house. I would have loved to have won the Senate but only winning by one seat would have put us in a bad spot. The other thing is many of the blue dog moderates in the house lost so the remaining dem caucus is much more liberal and will be more inclined to stick together.Gridlock is good for the country.Wow GG CA. Brown as Gov and no pot. What a bunch of idiots.

Congratulations, House Republicans. Hopefully you all learned something from the Bush Years and the 2008 election and are now able and ready to stick to your principles and govern well. The country needs capable governing now more than ever.

Wow GG CA. Brown as Gov and no pot. What a bunch of idiots.
Just when it looked like CA was going to actually become worth my time and interest, it drops the ball hard.

You do realize I am not in Congress, right? Also, it's Cane. Is that so hard?It was just a midterm. And it guaranteed you won't see cap and trade before 2014. That's how these things work, see 1995.Also, I look forward to seeing Prop 19 pass next time around. It is inevitable.

He's being accused of fraud again. He's a crook who basically ran on a platform of "Sink wants to marry Obama and have his babies". Should be a fun few years down here; between Scott and Rubio I hope against hope that poker survives. Can't wait til Rick tries to pass AZ's immigration law here; that will be fun times in Miami.

Good on midterm, it doesn’t matter so everyone is happy. Yes well aware you are not in congress…also well aware of how the countries attitude eventually catches the ear of politicians. I am glad you continue to feel that way and I hope all of the progressives continue on the same path. See we have something else in common! Cap and trade won’t happen at any point in the foreseeable future short of having a majority in the house, senate and the white house…and that will most likely be a long time coming after the last 2 years. It does potentially hurt me as I have been doing research on building a solar farm. Of course without government money it is isn’t a sustainable business model…so I guess we will scrap that, it kinda felt dirty even looking into it with the way it has to operate. Prop 19 isn’t my fight. I have been there and done that, if it was legal I may even do it again…I won’t miss it if I never do it again.

Rubio for Prez in 2016 ?It appears on the surface to this outsider that Rubio is somebody who the Conservatives could get behind for Prez.Young and personable, speaks well.Has Conservative street credibility without appearing to be bat shit crazy to moderates.Hispanic so can appeal to that growing demographic while not scaring the unsophisticated Whites since he's Cuban and not Mexican and Cubans who fled the Commies are good while Mexicans who fled poverty are bad. From an important swing state that is very important to win if you want to be Prez.Thoughts ?
