Should I Have Pushed?

Recommended Posts

This is hand from last nights 1/4 MIL on Pokerstars. I folded 9's here when I think I probably should have pushed all my chips in pre flop. I have nothing on the 1st raiser but the caller of the pre-flop raise had been playing pretty loose showing a few odd hands and building a stack. My thinking at the time was (after 8 pints of cider) that I didn't want to call as I would be risking too many chips as I could easily be against to half decent hands with the expectation that there would be at least 1 over card. I also considered that if I pushed there was the chance I would get 2 callers with the chance I could be well behind. Was my thinking sound and should I have pushed? comments would be welcome. J think you have to go with opponet reads and prior acvtions have you seen villian 2 call with questionable hands? Against 2 random overs your pretty much a 55/45 favorite (coin flipping) against overpairs your hoping this is one of those 17.5% of the times you bust out a set on them ..... But given your M in relation to the cost of living I am shipping to either induce a fold from the big stack and Isolate or grab 2 folds because my gut is the shorter stack is shoving any flop given the limited info .... and w/o a really strong hand i cant see the second villian calling off half his stack but then again that tourney is pretty much a lottery so I am shoving and if we loose chalk it up to variance

for some reason I read it as you having 10k in chips and was staring at the screen on why you weren't in before the cards were dealt.

This is an obvious all in, If you're beat, you're beat, move on with your life. But you have to take your chances here with the 99, no doubt this is an all in. I cant emphasise this enough. ALLLLL INNNN!!!! GAMMMBOOOOOoool!!!(seriously all in, notice how many times i said all in here. Let me say it one more time, all in)
