From what I understand there is strong underground level of games based on Play Chips (you won't find it listed in the Yellow Pages). Something to do with not having to pay rake and also keep it away from prying eyes.

Think of any professional sport. Only around 1% are anywhere near good enough to be pro. I think the same applies to Poker.
