Gallo 1
I'm somewhat amazed at how many people want the Chicago Tribune and how much people are willing to spend for it. Here at the Tribune they're selling the paper for .75, a poster of the front cover for $3, the plate of the front cover for $25. I looked on Ebay and the paper is selling for about $100 and the plates are selling for like $200.How much would you guys be willing to spend for memerobilia like this?http://shop.ebay.com/items/?_nkw=obama+chi...s&_osacat=0http://shop.ebay.com/items/?_nkw=obama+chi...s&_osacat=

I think he's selling the papers for like $50 or more.Makes me want to buy at least 50 papers and make a few grand.

hblask 1
No I believe that is a smirk. No, it's a death grip on the still-squirming baby hand in his mouth, so that it doesn't inadvertently pop out during the photo session.
brvheart 1,752
I paid big money on ebay for the remains of the kitten that George Bush ate just to piss PETA off.Speedz may correct me here, but that thing looks more like a lion cub or something. It's head is huge! If so, eating a lion is pretty manly.
LadyGrey 6
LOL I once knew someone who was hoarding McDonalds toys because "they were going to be worth a lot of money some day."Some of those McDonalds toys do accrue in value if you keep them in the original packaging. The higher quality ones based on brand names like Disney are likely to be worth over 40 times the original price in 10-20 years if they are still mint condition. I have the Wizard of Oz dolls and someday they will make me a few hundred on ebay I am sure.
LadyGrey 6
people will buy it now, because it's a history making event. But it worth is actually nothingmaybe pride and joyIf 9/11 newspapers are making in excess of $50 on ebay 7 years on, I am certain Obama ones will be worth even more in the future. It is a sound investment if you seal and preserve them properly.

LadyGrey 6
How much is the plains Georgia gazette front page homage to the newly elected Jimmy Carter worth? Was Jimmy Carter the first black president? That's what makes these newspapers collectors items. Even if Obama is a terrible president, he will still be a huge deal for black people in the years to come.
