king_tanner 84
I thought the first 2 idiots he yelled out were heartfelt. The rest were hamming it up for the camera.Either way he should have got a penalty. How about the 4 Q Q x x hand where Cunningham had QJ and his opponent had 44 and Cunningham got away from it. Yes the dude's hands were shaking like crazy, but still that was a huge laydown.
Canuckickstan 2
Pretty sure I would have told Helmuth to go fuck himself by the second idiot.

Yes the dude's hands were shaking like crazy, but still that was a huge laydown.I agree. He's the biggest hypocrite in poker, because when he makes a huge call, he's a genius. When someone else makes a good play, they're an idiot. He should have been penalized NUMEROUS times, but he keeps getting away with it. I have a feeling that will change next year. And yes, Cunningham is sick!

JoblessBast 0
A penalty was warranted, 100%. Dragomir handled himself well and stood up for himself which was great to see. It's a never-ending debate though: PH has done so much for the game and it's development. Like it or not, the "Poker Brat" nonsense makes for great TV-poker, which means more viewers and more new players. That's what we as players want and need. So does he get a pass for this stuff, and do we sacrifice the few that he insults for the greater poker good?We can't have all DN types all the time. We need villains, don't we? We need villains, don't we?True, it does make for great TV, but alot of people said that about Hevad Khan and his antics last year, and they made a rule to shut him up. He is the #1 Villian in poker, but that shouldn't excuse him from penalties, such as the one they put on him, then retracted earlier in the WSOP. That was BS.He needs to be shutup once in a while, and I was glad that Dragomir did stand up for himself, and the rest of the table had his back, also.Phil needs to be taken down a notch, I don't care what he's done for poker...."It's his life..." and it is not like giving him a penalty would make him go away. Canary3 1
I liked at the end that Mike was telling him quietely "you need to cool it" and "you are way out of line"

Mercury69 3
I love it when he's calling Adam Levy (Roothlus) a nothing internet kid. Last I checked, 5 minutes ago, he was in the top 100 internet players and has cashed plenty, including the WCOOP $530+R 6 max, got 6th place for 37K. Also, he's cashed for almost 90K in September alone...STFU, Hellmuth, you retard.
PokerFan 0
It was clear espn cut the footage and did not show all of PH hissey fit...To me is does not look like espn treated Helmouth the same as Scotty's melt down....from the live blog of the ME...PH was given a penalty after the day finished then PH whined enough to get the penalty reversed. Suited_Up 2
Only watched like 10 mins of the show. I assume it was the same episode, though it was on at like 11pm. Replay I figure. But when the other guy at the table stood up and said "Hey Honey, I'm All In" after Phil had done it earlier.... I thought that was pretty darn funny.Hellmuth is a jopke though.Oh, and I saw the guy with quad 4's spaz out and turn them over like as *******. That was retarded. People need to learn how the fuck to act. Then they showed Madsen get caught bluffing with 9 high and he just quickly flipped his cards over with no shame. Kudos to him for that. OrzyVibe 0
I don't agree that it makes for good TV necessarily....its just ugly. Dragomir is right: he paid $10,000 to get in, Hellmuth didn't pay a dime. So if he wants to 'play like an idiot', Phil should just be happy about it because in theory he'll get his chips down the road. The abuse he dishes out at the tables is ridiculous. psujohn 0
Why didn't Drago call for the floor? I know I would. Tell the floor that the guy in the 8 seat is being abusive and you want him penalized. Phil would be on mega tilt for a month.

I don't think the entire drama made it on TV.

When Dragomir said "I've had enough" it was directed to the floorman standing next to the table during the whole tirade.

I would really like to watch this. For those waiting for the Pokertube/ESPN re-airing, here is a youtube link from a spectator who video taped the whole thing. Can't really hear that much but you get the gist of it.On the description of the video it says he got a penalty when he didn't.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=URcB47kUZUk

It was a huge deal when it happened because people were going bananas that they would do this for Hellmuth. If it was some unknown they would never ever ever revoke it. Its a huge joke and I hope ESPN addresses it when play starts up on next weeks broadcast.Mark
