Interesting format.Edit: I will note that wins seem too important to the overall, though. In another I watched, a guy went 2nd, 2nd, 3rd, and had to win the final HU to place ITM (2nd). In this spot I'd say I open prob 80-85% and limp in the other 15-20%. It's too strong of a hand for a fold. The reason for limping though is to just to diversify your range so that you can't be pin pointed on a select number of hands. There are a lot of good regulars who whenever they limp in this spot will have small to medium pairs. Always. I think it's also important to be limping huge hands like AA, KK every once in a blue moon. Sc hands meh i guess, but they're gonna be reeeeally hard to play oop post flop. The point is, when you limp in EP, make sure you diversify your range so that you can't be pin pointed to a very small range of hands. Link to post Share on other sites

I enjoy the $60 turbos on Stars. For some reason, I fare much better at the 9-man and 45-man ones and don't do very well at the 18-man ones. On the FT side, I prefer the $100 normal STTs. It's funny...people say that SNGs have been "solved"...but a bunch of my opponents still must not have gotten the memo, because they make some really glaring errors (which is not to say that I play perfectly, but I like my ROI over my smallish sample size). Started doing just SnGs two weeks ago because I hate cash games lately. First two weeks I made it on the leaderboard once in just the Low orbit, then on both high and low the second week. This week variance is mostly making me her bitch, but doing ok. Reason for my posting is I have a question. I just played a 1500 FPP STT with the winner getting a seat in the Sunday million. It may be borderline, but I think I call. I think you can discount A7 and AK due to the limp preflop. It looks like a Qx of spades or something like A2.
