the knob 0
Doyle's isn't blocking those states, it is the underlying Prima network that they are a part of.
Kaveros 0
Didn't I hear something about a recent bill thatwould keep the "port security" bill in action, butwould give each state the ability to accept or decline those laws?I would assume these are the states who have decided to accept the laws. finztotheleft 0
Those states have specific legislation in place that prohibits online gaming.I remember when this issue started (around UIGEA) hearing those in Washington State complaining that it was pressure from their indian casinos that made politicians pass the law there. HubDub04 0
Hold on, this doesn't make any sense. If all 12 of those states have bans on online poker, then why can I play on FTP and Stars with no problems?

There are amny (like me !) who think/hope that some of the current laws are unconstitutional and would not hold up if ever brought to court.A lot of sites closed to americans right when UIGEA passed (may Frist rest in hell). More dropped and started restricting certain states when the Neteller fiasco hit. Even more when the Neteller guys got arrested. Some of those states had laws on record, but no one believed they would be enforced. With the crackdown on Neteller, it looks more like our government might be serious.......so smaller sites got scared
Jariso13 1
Wow no NJ??? i really wanna play there after reading this from Doyle in his blog on pokerroad... I’ve just watched the fastest game I’ve seen on the internet on DoylesRoom. Two guys were playing no limit holdem with a two hundred/four hundred blind. They were really gambling and I joined them. When they recognized my screen name TEX_DOLLY, they asked if I would let them play because they were amateurs. I said sure, and left them alone but kept watching. They really were amateurs and both players were making awful plays. There aren’t many pro players on DoylesRoom and we probably have the softest games around. There was an unraised pot and both players put in over $20,000. Both had the second pair with bad kickers. Where are these kinds of players when I am playing?
