Why so few?
They're running 2 Day 1's and they're assuming that there will be more for tomorrow since there are so many tournaments going on. The second day of the WSOP Tour $7500 main event is also today in Tunica and also they're hoping some of the players who were in Australia make it for tomorrow.

I thought this was interesting:

Sun Jan 20 13:15:41 PST 2008The Dragon Put to the TestDavid "The Dragon" Pham raises from late position to 575, and Edson Putrus intends to call from the small blind when
he accidentally throws out an orange chip (1,000)
instead of a purple chip (500). A floorperson is called over, and rules it to be a raise to 1,075. Pham takes advantage of the situation by reraising another 2,000 or 3,000, and Putrus calls.The flop comes
:club::D:D
, Putrus checks, Pham bets 3,000, and Putrus moves all in for 20,325. Pham tanks for about two minutes before he folds, and Putrus takes the pot.Toto Leonidas (sitting across the table) asks Pham what he had, and Pham says he folded pocket eights.

I assume that CardPlayer's people don't know that throwing an oversized chip into the pot is a call. Because, if a floorperson made the wrong ruling here, I'm sure that the players would have said something about it.

Maybe its different for certain tournaments. Moneymaker did the same thing at the ME this year on ESPN... he had a flush draw on the turn and threw out a chip to call, but he threw out too much and the floor called it a min-raise. Then the guy went all-in and he folded. Or I think that's how it went down

He used more than one chip. It was just a mis-count on his part.
