caviness36 0
For those of you who don't know, Pitchgod gave out 2 $5.50 stakes on FTP earlier today. It is the first time I've ever gotten one, since the post requirements usually rule me out. I don't really play online, just deal and play live. I took the $$ and entered a $3.30 MTT. I knocked out 2 players (earning $1.00 in knockout money), but finished around 140 or so out of 600. I then took the remaining $2.20 and entered a 4 person heads up sit-n-go, and I won!I know it's not much to most on here, but I'm very grateful, and I had a blast. Winning the tourney for $8 plus the $1 in knockout $$ means I turned the $5.50 into $9! Per staking rules, I just shipped $7.25 back to Pitchgod (stakeback plus 50%). And if I can do anything at all with the $1.75 I have remaining, I will pay it forward.Just wanted to say thanks to Pitchgod for opening up this stake to anyone. I hope the small return on your investment is well spent, lol.-Decent

The genuine appreciation in your message more than offsets the bickering and complaining from other players on staking threads. I've only been staked once (gotta get that post count up, I guess), and I wish I could have cashed. Maybe next time.

I've only been staked once (gotta get that post count up, I guess), and I wish I could have cashed. Maybe next time.I figured since the original staking thread was kind of hijacked that this should have a thread of its own. Plus I wanted others to know how much I appreciate the stake from Pitch. Thanks for the kind words. I've been around forever myself, but don't post much. It's so rare for me to see a staking thread within the requisite 2 minutes it takes to get 30 responses. I'm just stoked that I was able to give it back, plus some. If I can run the $1.75 I have left into $20 or more, you'll be the first to get a $5.50 stake.-Decent

Jariso13 1
I'm always down for reading a story with a happy ending. Call Disney up. Maybe they can make a movie about this. But honestly, congrats on winning.

In a casino?Hey Sandwedge. I deal at a dog track outisde of Tallahassee. It's called the Jefferson County Kennel Club. I have a regular 8-5 job, but wanted to try my hand at dealing on the side to make some extra $$. Plus it gives me a great opportunity to work on my own game when I'm dealing. We can't play at our home track, but we can play at any other track. I play about twice a month when I travel to Orlando for work.

SlapStick 0
So I dont start another stake thread.....Whats the rules and reason for the stakes?Im only a fcper less than a month, so whatts up with it. Why are people giving out stakes randomly, just for kicks and giggles? Is it just for people with busted bankrolls? How much is epxpected back etc. I understand staking someone, just a tad confused on whats happening with the stake threads and the first to answer gets the $5 etc

We offer chances to people who don't have much online to build a bankroll up without risking their own money. Think of it as a FCP bonding session.Terms of repayment are made by the staker. Some say "keep what you win", some ask for half of the profits, some ask for half of it all. Some stakers ask for requirements from the people they stake, such as XXX number of posts. Some don't care at all.
