Chisox6 0
Wherever the golf outing decides to play for sure, go to golfnow.com and sign up for the email list for specials...I've been getting some ridiculous rates on there-I'm playing Gold Canyon Dinosaur Mt. Monday for $26 and usually, even in this season, its like $55. Just a suggestion.
Potsie P 0
Midwestern University in Glendale...I'll be a lowly D.O. ...Sometimes I dream of playing against docs with deep pockets and no clue...someday, someday.LOL! My bro-in-law just graduated from there (I think in the D.O. program as well) and is doing a surgical residency in MI. Small world. And I love golfnow.com. Played The Legacy last weekend for $19. The greens are the best I've seen anywhere this summer. I'm trying to get a deal for us at Talking Stick, but otherwise for sure we should check it out. Sometimes only good for 2-4 players, tho. I think I have my fantasy draft that dayWe're talking about an early dinner and then poker after. For sure it will be packed and we'll be scattered all over, but I figured everyone plays different games anyway. What I'd really love is to just get together at someone's house with a couple poker tables and play. That way, no rake, we can choose whatever games we want, and play super low stakes and have fun. I have all the supplies (tables/chips/cards). Anyone have room for a couple poker tables at their place and want to host? (and think thats a good idea?)Mark

Home game would be more fun, and it would be way more social. If everyone brings a 12'er, we'll be set. If not, there's no way we could reserve a table at CAZ, could we? I love the home game idea, though.Mark (and everyone)--I will try to find out what, if anything, I can get CAAZ to help with by tomorrow at the latest. Stay tuned...
Potsie P 0
"My people" just talked with our casino contact and apparently they will "take care of us." Of course, what that means, I don't know, but I'll find out details this afternoon.SO...if we can get a head count today as to who's up for dinner Friday (on the chance we get something dining-wise from CAZ) and for golf Saturday (if we get a deal on golf at Talking Stick), that'd be swell. Of course, we can reserve the right to do something else on all fronts (eats, poker, golf) but this could become a decent option. Will update later with the skinny.

trussdude 0
What I'd really love is to just get together at someone's house with a couple poker tables and play.I'm in the process of building a detached Poker room in my back yard. They are taping the drywall today. It will have a wet bar and three 42" plasmas on the wall. I live in the Arrowhead area of north Peoria. It won't be ready for this get together, but it should be ready soon after. We'll just have to schedule another one.
