  1. I'm not positive, but that would be the total rake amount and you would have received whatever percentage of that you contracted for with the rakeback affiliate. So anywhere between 20-35% of that total number...whatever that affiliate was offering you. Then again I'm not sure the affiliate gets that entire rake amount.I was getting this at 27% on Full Tilt when I played over there. I was only at .50/1.00 limit and occasinally 1/2 and 2/4 playing about 1000 hands per week. I was getting about $15-$18 back per month. It's small at those limits and amount of hands, but you are throwing money by
  2. My bet would be they're trying to clear bonuses. If they're just passing the money back and forth that makes sense, and it seems like a great idea.Never Mind - the rake would kill it.
  3. When booking, do you actually call the hotel, ask for the poker room and book with the poker room supervisor/manager or just mention to the reservation desk if you can get the poker room rate?
  4. 28 hours? That's it? She's pretty weak because I'm sure that many of you like myself have done this on several occasions in Vegas. I bet she wasn't even at a club dancing and pounding shots of Crown Royal in between sessions.
  5. Thanks guys. I thought it might be OK considering you get points on hours played and percentages of a point per raked hand, but the way you say I think I'll stick with Party until their next bonus.
  6. Just bonus whoring. Has anyone cleared this or is in the process of clearing this? I found the Full Tilt 100% bonus a waste of time to try and clear. I'll be 2-3 tabling .50/1.00 or 1/2 limit.
  7. Back to that metric system issue....So would you Canadiens describe your "member" to an interested female as "I got a full decimeter" or "that's right, 210 millimeters baby!" ?Just doesn't sound right.
  8. I would assume it's harder to multi-table live.
  9. Is this some magical janitorial job we've never heard about? Where random women get naked, you make the salary of a plastic surgeon, and you would be banished from the janitorial community, never to be able to find another janitor job within a 3 block radius had you made a move? If not, you missed out.
  10. I built my bankroll up by 800bb over two months after I fixed some holes and the past two weeks I'm down almost 350bb, does this sound like normal variance to anyone. I am playing about the same game. I did move up to 1/2 just before the start of the downswing because my bankroll was at over 400bb for that game. It seems like I've missed a lot of draws, good hands got outdrawn, and then the usual bad runs in there. No real blow ups or steam sessions.Any thoughts
  11. I figure you have to give the raiser credit for the huge hand if he/she is playing correctly. With the calling preflop raise and calling the paired flop they had to have hit in in some way unless they think you missed and are still leading with AK and are hoping to hit a card which you do not have them dominated on. Since they didn't reraise they most likely do not have QQ, they may have had a suited A and hit with the J or the 2, but this would all be subject to what you know about this player. Are they reraising with KQ or AQ? AQ maybe. It once again depends on what kind of values you think
  12. I wouldn't consider myself successful to the degree in which others may define success, but I know the point in which I turned the corner and became a consistent winning player from being a break-even player and what got me to that point. It was combination of several things. I've had similar experiences of blowing off money while playing drunk, which took more than one time to finally come to terms with. Even though I still get the urge to log on and play after coming home from the bar I have adapted a different playing style when I do that allows me to play correctly. However, the most impo
  13. I had an aquaintance tell me how he folded AA pre-flop in a NL Cash game because he got it all in pre-flop in the same situation a week earlier and the other guy caught his 3rd 9 and took the pot. He tried to exlpain why he didn't want to push over $500 into the pot after building up from $200 and he'd rather play after the flop.... So I told him as nicely as I could (since I didnt' know him that well) that he was playing over his head and should cash out a bit if he wasnt willing to move all-in preflop with AA. What I really wanted to tell him:1. Would just be censored here so use your ima
  14. I'm a pilot, it's my passion.Move up limits and buy your own plane.
  15. If you can make $500 a day why even bother graduating, and save yourself that 17k in the process. Mom and dad won't mind after you put them in the best retirement home money can buy.
  16. I play much better online because its easier to play correct when you multi-table. Sitting at a B&M you get very bored waiting for decent cards, it takes much more patience playing live.
  17. I'll be in Vegas over the weekend and figured I'd hit up Bally's cause I heard it's pretty loose over there and is the closest cardroom to my hotel, barbary coast. I'll be playing 2/4 and move up if my internet game translates well. I havn't played live since March. Can anyone confirm if this is a easy room to beat? I thought Luxor was pretty easy.
  18. "Seriously, escaped convicts, fugitive sex, that's too much. I've got a cock fight to get ready for."
  19. Depends on the time of day. Heineken's most hours, but stumbling to the table at 4am and playing until 10am I usually start in on white russians for breakfast.Had a LV local once say she loved coming into the cardroom early in the morning to play all the drunk/tired tourists. I said I wasn't drunk "anymore" (it was about 9am and I was on the white russians), but then she said "then why can I smell it on you from over here". I proceeded to take her down in the next pot.I think if you "realize" you're drunk and someone calls you out on it, you can really focus enough to play well or even pass
  20. I pulled the trigger on the trade, just waiting for it to go through. Thanks for all the input.
  21. I have been offered Cloutier(Van-G) for Thibault(Pit-G) straight up. Will Pittsburg be good enough this year for me to consider turning the trade down. I also have Esche and Joseph so i'm not really needing help, but might get an edge by trading for Cloutier.
  22. I'm staying at Barbary Coast Oct 14-16. Cheapest place I could find on the south half of the strip on the weekend. I'd let you know how it is, but it'll be a little late. I actually don't mind the Trop though, great location if you dont' want to pony up for Luxor, Mandalay, etc. I'd stay there again but i like to stay somewhere different everytime I go.I've also stayed at Sahara and Stratosphere which I dont' recommend because of location.Rio isnt' bad because you have the shuttle to Harrah's, Luxor was nice with good south strip location, and the Mirage was probobly my favorite.
  23. Cool. I'll have to do it from....work.Thanks.
